Owner of the hotel is a really nice guy, who is really helpful. We communicated via Papago, and he explained all the hikes we could take. The room is a bit outdated, it seems it had some water damage and cleanliness is not their strongest point. Bed was comfortable and it is very nice you have a Korean style table in the room, also slippers are provided.

The Red House was such a nice place to stay. It felt really cosy and the owners were super kind and explained a lot about the available hikes in Seoraksan which was very helpful. The hotel is a little bit older so don’t expect everything new or luxurious but it was very clean. We also loved the bath and shower with perfect hot water. Breakfast was really tasty and a good start of the day. For snacks the convenience store was just around the corner. You can reach the park by taking the bus 1 stop and you can also take the bus into Sokcho. It does not run until late in the evening but it’s simple to get a taxi. We spend lots of time in both places but were happy that we choose to stay in this cosy place in the mountains instead of Sokcho. This place is recommended!

Location is excellent for hiking into Seoraksan. it is maybe 20mins walk to the main entrance but the 20mins walk is quite flat and has views of the mountain. It’s a good warm up. Room is expected as one expects of a hostel. Staff is friendly and will explain the hiking routes of Seoraksan. Just don’t be expecting a luxury accommodation, it has everything it needs

The locations of the accommodation was about 20-30 min by foot from the entrance to the national park, which was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable and fully equipped. I want to point out the hospitality of the owners. They were so nice and welcoming to us! Highly recommend staying there! Also the breakfast was great and reasonably priced.
