About this villa rental
This mature and spacious villa boasts landscaped gardens with private pool which may be heated. The pool terrace is equipped with sunbeds and cushions, deckchairs and table for al-fresco meals, plus a gas barbecue for those memorable holiday meals. Overlooking the 6th tee of Penina Golf course, this is a golfers paradise. Perfect for families with children, there are cots and high chairs. The villa is designed for year round use with internal heating throughout and air conditioning. The recently renovated bathrooms and kitchen provide a modern touch to the spacious interior. All towels and bedlinen are supplied including beach towels. Laundry and cleaning are supplied weekly. 6 minutes drive from the pretty fishing village of Alvor and it's beaches and 15 minutes from the beaches and nightlife of Lagos. In order to enable clients to use cheaper flights, we do not specify changeover days. We charge per adult per night and only £30/€34 per night for children. The price quoted by VRBO is incorrect for families with children under 14 years and it will be a lower amount. For an accurate quote, please contact the owner. We also have a minimum charge of 285 euros per night during peak summer weeks of mid July to the first week of September, but it does mean that small groups or couples can take advantage of this large and spacious villa. The pool can be heated at €12 per day. It is useful for guests to know that the property is fully registered and licenced with the local authority and bears the registration number 54955/AL.

Selfishly i don't want everyone to know how great Casa Mimosa is so it doesn't get booked up and we can return again and again, but that would be a huge disservice to everyone involved in the running of the villa.First, the villa itself is beautiful and very, very spacious with everything you could possibly need and furnished fantastically. It was just us as a couple, but if you have kids there is a plethora of things inside and out to suit them. Fully fitted kitchen, comfortable lounge with Sky TV, large bedrooms with comfortable beds and air-conditioning and numerous bathrooms (shower in the master ensuite is to die for). However you will barely be inside as the outside is even more breathtaking. The pool is stunning, huge and a wonderful temperature. It's shallow end is 85cm and the deepest is 1.5m so again, if you have young children, it's great for them. And the steps into the pool are not tiled so they're not slippery! Large outside dining table and chairs and comfy sun loungers means plenty of places to sit and relax and there is also an outside shower with hot water. There's a huge garden that overlooks one of the greens on the golf course and everything is wonderfully maintained.Location is perfect, 40mins from airport, 20 from Lagos and Alvor 5mins away with 2 large supermarkets.Huge selling point is property manager, Heather. Fantastic communication on the run up, a wonderfully friendly person and was there to greet us with a smile. Thank you and see you soon!

Very well equipped villa. Spacious rooms, lots of outdoor space. Handy for Penina Golf Resort and a short drive to Portimao and Alvor, both of which are well worth a visit. Pool area very good with plenty of seating and space to move around as the sun moves. Lovely views of the 6th hole of the Resort Course, but also the skydivers from the nearby airfield who routinely drop out of planes above you, and not quietly! Very funny.Communications with Heather, our host, were very good. No waiting for responses and quick to respond to any queries. Would certainly recommend, and we hope to return in the future. Thanks for allowing us to stay.

Excellent villa especially for a large family/group. Traditional style. Good size rooms be it communal areas, kitchen and bedrooms. Good location to explore this beautiful part of the Algarve - Alvor only 10 minutes away and Lagos, Silves and Carvoeiro all within 30 minutes. Definitely need a cart .

Large estate on golf course, gorgeous garden with mature landscaping. Beautiful pool but heating unit broken. Understandably a warm weather summer destination where a heater is rarely used. But the sofas in the living room, the rugs, and the master mattress are worn out. Straight up. The drive in and out to town is a hassle. The kitchen is updated. The bathrooms are updated but the drains are slow. It really depends on how much sight seeing, how much time at the house you plan on being there in order to decide if this is the place for you.
