The location in Southwest Harbor is wonderful. And especially so if you want to avoid the constant crowds in Bar Harbor, etc. It's great to visit the busy places, but equally wonderful to have a peaceful, private getaway as your base of operations. We traveled mostly for Acadia National Park, and this is close to any part of the park you'd want to see. We managed to catch sunrises, sunsets, moonrises, and more in Acadia. And then could utilize the full kitchen at the property, or easily to walk to a number of great restaurants close by for dinner. Quiet nights for art, meditation, and sleep. Highly recommend for a multiple night stay.
