About this house rental
**Note: Brand new septic tank and lines have been installed for 2023** This cottage will make you throw all your worries away! Now with CENTRAL A/C!! This 3 bedroom 1.5 bath cottage has it all! A large vaulted ceiling knotty pine living room/ dining area with original fireplace. A great space for reading, family games, dinner around the large farm table.
A full kitchen with seating area allows for all the comforts of home including a dishwasher and fully stocked kitchen.
On one side of the house you will find 2 bedrooms (one queen and the other 2 singles) and a full bath. On the other side of the house by the kitchen you will find a good size bedroom (queen) with its own 1/2 bath. Parents can be on one side of the house with the kids on the other.
There is a large deck that faces Lake Michigan to enjoy our beautiful sunsets! Dinner al fresco anyone? We also have our own path that leads down the hill to a short walk to a public Lake Michigan beach (about a 5 minute walk). Or hop in the car and drive 2 minutes to the channel where we have another free Lake Michigan beach to enjoy!
This property transferred ownership Fall of 2019 back to original family who built the home. Renters who have enjoyed the home in previous years...everything has remained the same (furniture, etc). We are only improving your stay! All linens are provided (including beach towels). The premise does not allow boats or RV's.

House was extremely clean and had all the supplies needed. The only recommendation we have would have is to make the path from the house to Old Channel Trail (road that leads to beach access) clearly marked and free of poison ivy. The beach is only a 1/4 mile from the house so is easily within walking distance. Despite this, we would and hopefully will be able to rent Mid Oaks again. Thanks to the owners for making Mid Oaks available and to Rochelle for being so responsive during our stay!

The home has a fabulous location and is well appointed. Loads of fun things provided that we didn’t even know we needed. Our grandchildren came for dinners and there were toys and books for them to enjoy. The big hit though was the red high stool that my three year old granddaughter claimed as her seat at the table. I had some lovely conversations with the property manager who was very responsive.

lake access is miss leading. Walking to lake not safe from this property. Steep hill no trail comes to road at dangerous curve. House is not well-maintained rotten wood in a couple of places. Ceiling fan /in living room didn't work killed at least a dozen large spiders' dead mouse on basement floor looked like it a been there a while.
