Absolutely incredible property and stay!

We loved everything about this property! The host met communicated with us prior to arrival and ensured we were able to find the property. We also met with him to hand over the keys and discuss the expectations for us as guests. Beyond that, he recommended plenty for us to see and do in Berchtesgaden, giving us endless ideas for options in both sun and rain. He also mentioned some great restaurants to try out! The property itself is in a lovely location, with direct views of the Alps, and is only about 5-10 minutes from the central train station. There is a shopping plaza directly down the road, with grocery stores and pharmacies, so we never had to worry about being short on food or travel supplies. Walking to the center of the town takes about 10-15 minutes, giving easy access to other local shops and attractions. The house was also very neat and clean, with everything being well-organized before our arrival. The beds were comfy and there was never an issue with any amenities. Despite needing to pay a tourist tax (which is pretty much expected in Europe nowadays), we were able to get visitor passes. These gave us access to free public transport in the local area and discounted ticket prices for museums/educational sites. It was well worth the extra (very small) fee!

There is nothing we did not like about this apartment. It perfectly suited our needs and exceeded our expectations the whole way around!

A great stay, Armin and Judith were lovely and provided a great place to stay with lots of things to do around.

Overall it was good and I'd revisit

Great view. We came by train and it was an easy walk to the house. The rustic feel to the house was fun and fit the environment. The porch was great for sitting out in the evening.

We didn't realize there were ants in the kitchen and they ruined some of our food. The layout in the house was a little weird and not the most effective. While have a clothes washing machine was nice, there was only a small drying stand. We had 4 loads of laundry and it took forever to dry it and needed to lay it throughout the house to dry.

A Friendly New Year’s in the Mountains

It was very central, 2 min walk to main train/bus station, less than a minute away from grocery & sport stores. It was super clean, and easily large enough for us as a couple + friend. Armin (the host😊) was super friendly & speaks English and German, he offered us his sleds for new years and gave us amazing other recommendations such as going to Salzburg (30 min drive) to celebrate. You also receive guest cards when staying in Berchtesgaden, which give you a discount when booking gondola rides, boat tours & more. It also lets you ride all buses in the town for FREE! For the three of us, the card fee was 18.50€. We hiked to the Königssee from this house, and it only took us about an hour. If we ever come back here, we are definitely staying here!

Kind of dark if you come back during the night, no Rollladen so if you’re sensitive to light I recommend a sleeping mask. Worked like a charm for me!

much better than expected, lovely apartment with friendly, helpful host. great location, brilliant start to the week in

so much nicer than the photos do it credit! my adult son and I travelled and had a double room each, big enough, but cosy enough and had good facilities. it was very close to supermarkets, bakery for rolls, an Eiscafé, the station, but could hear the river flow by and it was so quiet!! excellent to base yourself, easily park up the car and make use of the bus / train or walk. loved it!!

it was a bit dark…. some extra lighting. but that’s not really an issue at all! the hosts had placed candles to give such a cosy atmosphere

Excellent spot, fantastic views

Great location. Just next to buses for anywhere, right be the footpath, 10 minutes walk into Berchtesgaden for restaurants. Great host and very comfortable apartment, everything good.

Only improvement would be proper curtains for the bedrooms - difficult to sleep when it gets light in the morning!

Die Lage. Überdachter Balkon mit genügend Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Möbel, bunt zusammen gewürfelt, alles sehr alt und verbraucht, nicht sauber.
