About this cabin rental
Get out of town! 200,000 acres of public land. Over 60,000 acres of water. Cabin 1 has a nice neutral paint scheme rather than the rustic wood paneling of our other cabins. Clean and comfortable is our highest goal and this cabin will not disappoint. Perfect home base for outdoor adventure. Two twin beds in each room. This cabin also features a full kitchen. Just across the street from Lake Barkley, the property joins Lake Barkley State Park. Less than a mile from Boots Randolph Golf Course, and five miles from Land Between the Lakes. Small convenience store on site sells Hunt Brothers pizza, deli sandwiches, bait, gas, ice, beer, etc. Tony & Karen (Owners) live on the property and strive to make sure your stay is perfect. Our area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, food, and shopping. We grew up here! We hunt, fish, hike, golf, mountain bike, dirt bike, kayak, and boat. We've been taking our children to The Elk and Bison Prairie, Planetarium, Home Place, Nature Center, Turkey Bay and others for years. We know the area! Property was very clean. Right size for several people to share. Saw deer and wild turkey right in front of the cabin. It is right next to the entrance leading to Lake Barkley Resort where the restaurants, marina, indoor pool and swim beach are located.

Cabins are a bit dated but I knew that from the pictures. Little store at the entrance had food so I didn't have to ride to town to get anything, although it was only a 15 minute ride if I had needed to. One A/C unit in the cabin but since it was just me I shut the bedroom doors and slept on the couch. The bedrooms didn't seem to get real cool but it was 95degrees outside. There is Wifi but it is about as slow as dial up. That would have to be my only complaint if you want to call it one. Cell service was fine in the cabin for calls and messaging but I had to step outside occasionally to get better reception for social media (att).. All in all it was a relaxing stay and close to the activities that I was attending.

only complaint. Dining room table in terrible condition. One of the worst if not the worst beds I have ever slept on.
