Holiday villa near Montefrío, province of Granada, Andalucia.
If you’re planning your holidays with a group of friends, this country house 6 km north of Montefrío is a great option to take into consideration. Its location in the middle of olive yards lets the whole party relax far from the hustle and bustle, and fall asleep to the birds singing and the breeze blowing through the surrounding trees’ leaves. Besides, from the house, you will spot the 1,600-mt high mountains belonging to the Sierra de Parapanda, which provides the water used in the property, and the archaeological site “Las Peñas de los Gitanos”.
Up to 12 people can spend their holidays here, thanks to the six bedrooms, all provided with oil-filled radiators; three of them are equipped with one double bed each, whereas the other three feature two twin beds each. One bathroom with shower and one with bathtub are also available for the guests. The rustic style of the villa can be found mainly in the living area, divided into a living room with a massive stone fireplace, a dining table and a huge galley corner with all the kitchenware you’ll need during your stay. Warm/cool air-con is provided in the living room.
The outdoor area of the house reflects the nature that surrounds it. There is a coquettish pergola with an area for “al fresco” dining, and an enormous private pool semi-surrounded by a wooden fence. The poolside sun loungers are located under a pergola, for which you can decide whether you want to sunbathe or relax in the shadow. Last, but not least, the BBQ helps you cook delicious specialities that will leave your family in awe.
The access to the house is possible via a 700-mnt unpaved lane that provides panoramic views of the valley, its olive trees and holm-oak forest.

La casa está bastante bien equipada, (quizás añadiría alguna cafetera grande pq solo hay una de goteo, si no llega a ser pq me llevé mi propia cafetera no se como lo hubiéramos hecho) pero también bastante anticuada y le falta una buena limpieza general. Las sábanas y mantas muy limpias, eso si. Y los colchones bastantes nuevos y cómodos. Pero el menaje de la cocina (sartenes, etc) habría que renovarlos. Se ve que no han sido limpiados a fondo desde hace bastante tiempo. Los baños también necesitan un buen repaso, parece como si no hubieran sido usados durante mucho tiempo. La ducha de uno de los baños no tenía cortina, así que no pudimos utilizarlos. Y las alcachofas de las duchas necesitan un cambio urgente.
Dejando a un lado, que en general la casa se ve muy antigua…hemos estado muy a gusto. El entorno es estupendo, alejado de todo, que era lo que queríamos.
Lo único que no nos gustó fue que le pedimos al dueño si podíamos quedarnos un par de horas más para comer, y salir sobre las 15h y nos pidió 25€ más por persona, y éramos 11! Una locura…
Una cosa que cambiaríamos de la casa es que la barbacoa esté tan alejada de la casa. Fue un rollo tener que estar dando viajes y no poder estar todos juntos, pero bueno… eso podría tener solución.
El hombre que nos atendió, creo que se llamaba Jesus, fue súper amable y agradable.
¿Volveríamos a este alojamiento? Seguramente si, hemos estado muy bien.

Acabamos de llegar de pasar sábado y domingo en esta maravillosa casa. Ha sido todo como esperábamos, hemos disfrutado muchísimo y aprovechado al máximo el tiempo. Un sitio maravilloso por su belleza.

El entorno es maravilloso. Hemos pasado una semana en familia en la casa, en total 10 personas y nos ha encantado. La casa está muy bien cuidada, todo muy amplio y limpio. Hemos podido descansar y divertirnos todos. Nos encantaría volver.
