Located on the edge of the rustic village of Doornspijk, this beautifully renovated recreation home is for rent.
The house is an old chicken barn that was converted into a house in the 1960s. In 2019 the house was completely renovated into this contemporary holiday home, equipped with all modern conveniences. The rustic thatched roof and black potted covered walls give an authentic look.
The house has a spacious hall on the ground floor, an attractive, comfortably furnished living room with fully equipped open kitchen, a smartly decorated bathroom and a separate toilet.
A stylish and cozy double bedroom has been furnished on the upper floor. A sofa bed in the living room makes the house suitable for a possible stay with 4 people.
The accompanying garden with terrace is a pleasant place to enjoy the sun and the rural tranquility.
Nostalgia certainly goes together with modern conveniences. The property is equipped with:

• Free WIFI
• Various games, magazines and reading books
• Parking on site

We wanted a place to stay while we visited in the area. We found everything we needed here and a lovely ambiance. The proprietors have been creative and thoughtful. Only be aware there is a narrow steep spiral stair case to access the bedroom.

We visited this cosy place last weekend and it was beautiful. The cottage offered everything yesterday we needed, had a unique style and was super clean! Martin and Angela are great hosts and helped us to have a wonderful, short holiday!

A friend and i stayed at the "olde Kippenschuur" for a week and had a lovely experience. The house was very clean and the themed interior was perfect. The weather was fantastic aswell. There is nothing bad to write about it. It is most definitely worth a visit!
