We are not an event venue! NO PARTIES ALLOWED.
KraushausUSA2 is approximately 6,000 sq. ft. (550 sq. meters including guest apartment), a Mediterranean villa located on a small island in Lake Santa Barbara which is a part of the Intracoastal Waterway and about a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. This island oasis is positioned one block off Federal Highway between Commercial and Atlantic Blvds. and is close to the beach, shopping, restaurants, banks, tennis courts, and a golf course.

Depending on the time of year, (3/4/7) night minimum stay required.

This unique property is great for families! It has 6 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms and sleeps up to 13 people (See description in the 'room details' section. )
Enjoy the amenities of the backyard that include: grilling area; detached gazebo with pizza oven and fire pit, outdoor dining for at least 12, and a 5 hole-putting green!

This home was absolutely paradise! Conveniently located to everything you could possibly want to do. It was extremely spacious for our family of 7. The backyard was a tropical delight with pool, spa and outdoor entertainment/bar area. Beach and restaurants were minutes away and easy to get to. The host, Rolf, was extremely easy to communicate with and made sure our stay was top notch. We will definitely book again!

The house is as beautiful- if not more so- than the pictures show. The layout feel spacious so that different parts of the family could maintain privacy as needed. The pool was delightful as was the hot tub - that latter a particularly special feature after the sun went down. We also became expert mini golfers! The proximity of the kitchen and family room to the pool allowed easy supervision of the kids. The adjacent deck was a source of entertainment for the older children who marveled at the boats at the marina across the way. For adult couples considering this rental. the views are gorgeous and there are decks on the second floor (and a tiny surprise deck up a winding stair to the third floor) for drinks and quiet conversations- or celebrations.Rolf, the host, is extraordinary. He was always available if or when needed.Pompano beach is a solid 0.9 mile walk or 2 minute drive- with ample parking. It is a special place. Pompano is pristine, and stays shallow quite a ways out which allowed the younger kids to play in the water with ease. There is an adjacent park with fresh water sprinklers running all day long as well as a nearby playground. There is a long pier that extends into the ocean where fishermen and others casually stroll and enjoy the day. Honestly this is about the nicest "beach" home we have rented...and we have rented many here and around the world. Truly we are hoping to return!

We rent as a family nearly every year somewhere in the Greater Fort Lauderdale Area and have had many experiences. Rolf as a host was second to none. Attentive, proactive, and wants you to have a good time while you are there. We didn't even have to take out the garbage.The home was well cared for, clean, maintenance and upkeep was the best we've seen. If I had to leave a "could be better" it might be more options for King beds as only the primary had one. But otherwise it was spectacular. We will be booking again next year.

We needed more space with family coming to town and made the right choice with this rental!! The house was immaculately clean and had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The beautiful saltwater pool with a soothing waterfall was a highlight. The owner was very attentive and made sure we knew he would help if we needed absolutely anything! We will definitely rent again.

We stayed with 5 adults and 3 children, ages 2, 5 and 7. The kids were in the pool or at the beach 12 hours a day! The house is magnificent, very extravagant. The kids said they felt like Tony Montana, LOL. We loved the back yard and that we could be in the kitchen and still be part of what was going on in the back yard and in the pool, you never felt separated from anyone. The Pompano Beach is great, not super crowded, family friendly and great sand. Parking always available, affordable and has a great app to use whenever you park. The downtown strip, though small by Florida standards, had absolutely everything we needed. The restaurants were great and varied, we loved Oceania on the beach for a little fancier dinner, The Foundry on the strip, off the beach with great outside dining and big tables inside. The Huston on the canal had the very best food, top notch. Our host was great, responsive to every request and every need. The giant portable speaker didn't work, I let him know and said I don't really care because we have a small portable speaker that works. within a couple hours, a brand new speaker was delivered to the house. The putting green in the back yard was a great distraction fo rthe kids when grown ups getting ready for dinner. We walked to the beach a couple times (had a stroller for the kids) and really enjoyed the walk. The Yellow Yolk was nice for breakfast on the strip. We rented a yacht in Ft Lauderdale for 4 hours one day and it was awesome! Great time!

My family and I went for a 3 night stay before boarding a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. There were 9 of us, from 4 different families. We had plenty of room to stretch out in the house, everyone with their own space. The home is well equipped with everything we needed to cook and have a great time. We enjoyed our time by the pool immensely. I was very nervous about the pool and canal being so close to the home, traveling with an almost 2 year old. Rolf set up the gate around the water before our arrival so I felt completely safe with my toddler being in the backyard. We swam and played mini golf, watched TV outside and had the best time. It was hard to believe our trip was going to get any better when we boarded our cruise after check out. The home has additional baby items that were super helpful as well- several pack n plays with sheets, high chair, etc. Highly recommend!!!

This house is exactly as described. The sheets were beyond soft and the beds comfortable and abundant. The ice maker in the entry way came in very handy. The pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and space were amazing with more than enough towels for everyone. The washing machines and dryers were very useful. The kitchen is stocked with stables which is very convenient. There was construction going on next door but was never an issue, don't let that turn you off. We very much enjoyed the activities at the marina across the canal. Rolf was available for assistance when needed but not intrusive. We will be back and look forward to staying here again. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The location is great with easy drive to the beach, grocery store and local park which had lots of amenities. Rolf was available for all questions and helped us use the pizza oven. Overall, we had a great time! The outdoor facilités were fantastic!

My family and I stayed at Rolf’s home for a week this month(December) and had the BEST stay. This house is seriously stunning and there is nothing it doesn’t have!! If I couldn’t find something, Rolf was just a quick text or phone call away and was incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. The outdoor area kept us entertained all day everyday. Pool, hot tub, putting green, grilling station.. I’m telling you he’s got it all! We had one baby with us and Rolf had high chair and pack and play. The house was clean, well furnished, and stocked with everything you need for comfortable stay. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for everything Rolf.

The Mediterranean Retreat exceeded our expectations in all ways possible. It was so clean on arrival, and Rolf was there shortly after our arrival to take us for a tour and show us everything we needed to know. The house was outfitted with some baby gear, including pack and play, high chair, booster seat, and a baby gate around the pool which was incredible. It acted as a big playpen since it also blocked access to the docks when the kids were playing. Between that, the putting green, the kitchen opening to the patio where we ate ALL our meals - it was absolutely perfect for kids. Rolf was very responsible to all of our needs during our stay. We were able to do an everglade airboat tour 30 minutes away which we highly recommend. The beach is a 30 minute walk, but we did it most days. There was a playground, splashpad, and ice cream shop at the beach that the kids almost liked more than the beach itself. We made pizza on the outdoor pizza oven which was absolutely lovely, we had coffee on the upper terrace to watch sunrise, and happy hour on master bedroom deck. I can't recommend this place enough! We are a family of eight. The home was very spacious and we all had our own spaces. The pool, jacuzzi and outdoor fire pit, TV, and bar were great to hang out. We were there for Super Bowl so TV was great. All our meals were on the beautiful deck. The home is situated in a very convenient area, close to shopping etc. My only negative, I wish they would have given us a heads up abut out view from the deck. We looked at a boat yard, could be worse but I wish i had known.

A group of us stayed for a weekend for a business/vacation meeting; everything met and exceeded our expectations. The home is beautiful and even better than the pictures. The outdoor space is fantastic and we spent most of our time there. There's a fully-stocked kitchen with everything you would need and we took advantage of the grill and smoker for meals. For you golfers, even if it's the mini golf type, the putting green is awesome and even has a few challenging breaks. Best of all, Rolf and Ingrid were gracious hosts and were available for anything we needed. Communication was excellent and we are already planning a return visit in the future!

Spent an amazing 8 days in Pompano at Rolf and Ingrid's beautiful home. Our group of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids) spent countless hours in the pool during the day and in the game room in the evenings. House is really well maintained, clean and has plenty of room for all, the pictures do not do it justice! Best of all, Rolf and Ingrid are amazing hosts. Check in process was smooth and Rolf gave us a detailed walkthrough of the property when we arrived. They were both extremely attentive and quick to respond to any of our questions when we needed their assistance. We look forward to coming back in the future, thank you Rolf and Ingrid!

Had an excellent stay at Rolf and Ingrid’s Santa Barbara Estate property. Home is in a quite track off main highway and walkable, via neighborhood backroad’s. Home has all the amenities - making for a pleasant stay. The pool is awesome.. many hours spent there just lounging and trying to beat the heat and humidity. Highly recommend!!
