About this house rental
Entering our 5th year of hosting rentals! Oceanfront 1 floor living on 13+ acres with open concept kitchen/dining/living space on the Narraguagus Bay. Wake to the sunrise and lobster boats heading out to haul their traps, fall asleep to the calming sound of the tide rolling in or out. Unplug and enjoy the expansive view of the bay and open ocean. Explore the 493’ of bold coast frontage. Quiet and peaceful yet less than 5 miles to town where you will find amenities such as dining, grocery, gas, and gift shops.

Milbridge is a sweet coastal town well situated for many adventures. Visit the eastern-most spot in the US and the picturesque West Quoddy Lighthouse in Lubec. Or head to the Schoodic region of Acadia National Park and avoid the crowds that flock to the larger portion of the park on Mount Desert Island. Take a day trip to Campobello Island (bring your passport) and take a step back in history to the way President FDR spent his summers. There are many local artisans and galleries to visit. Take a private lobster boat tour with Captain Robertson right here in town and check out the puffins at Petit Manan Lighthouse! If you enjoy being physically active there are countless hiking trails and an extensive biking trail called The Downeast Sunrise Trail. There are plenty of places to kayak as well. You’ll run out of time for everything on your list because you won’t want to leave the peacefulness of homebase. No matter if you choose a fast or slow paced vacation, this is the perfect spot for you!
There are wonderful dining options right in Milbridge as well as a number of favorites within a short drive. Or cook at home in the well stocked kitchen and enjoy your dinner outside on the deck. You can pick up your fresh-off-the-boat lobster and other sea creatures just 2.5 miles down the road at Chipman’s Wharf. Grab a bottle of local blueberry wine or coastal white to go with that meal at nearby Barlett Winery.
Milbridge features a local summer concert series in town on Friday nights and don’t miss Incredible Edible Milbridge and the free organic community gardens. This little town has some big spirit!

The view was amazing and the home very relaxing. It was well stocked with everything you might need for your stay. We were a family of 4 with two younger kids who really loved the beach out front and the bunk beds as well as the great selection of kids books for bedtime. The property was well back off a quiet road outside of town. The owners did a really nice job of providing local details of things to do and places to eat and the town of Milbridge is very charming all on its own. This was a convenient location to see both Acadia to the south and Lubec to the north. There are tons of things to do nearby along the coast and inland as well. Or just relax and enjoy the view and listen to the tide change and lobster boats go by. We had a lovely week staying here and would highly recommend to others. It really was pine scented too!

Our family enjoyed exploring Downeast & Acadia Maine from this delightful oceanfront home. The recommendations from the host for activities and food were excellent, and for when you prefer to prepare dinner yourself, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals.The peace and quiet after exploring each day was just what we needed for a relaxing and fun vacation.We would absolutely stay here again and have already recommended it to others!

My family and I had an amazing time for our first time in Maine. We are already talking about coming back. The house and host were amazing! Amanda provided a binder with so much helpful information. We ate at many of the restaurant suggestions and had amazing food. Everything you would need for a week away was provided in the house and everything was clean and well organized. Plenty of rooms and beds for my family of 5 and the beds were comfortable. We had so much fun exploring the coastline, especially during low tide. It was also relaxing sitting on the deck listening to the ocean waves and watching the lobster boats. There are so many places and towns nearby to explore and Bar Harbor is only an hour away for souvenir shopping and we took a nature cruise to see puffins and seals. We had to pick and choose what to do. Only downside was lots of driving to get everywhere but we didn't mind. I would definitely stay here again and do hope to have that opportunity in the future.

What an amazing place! From the charming decor to the beautiful views from the deck, this home created such a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. We felt “at home” and were able to both rest and relax. There were many tide pool treasures to be found during low tide. I’ve been searching for starfish the past three trips to Maine- and was so excited to find one on the property on only our second day. At high tide we enjoyed the beautiful view from the rocks. At night, we sat on the deck and were awed by the night sky completely FULL of stars. We were able to see Jupiter and the Milky Way just with the naked eye (although there was a nice telescope to use). Looking at that sky with the sound of the waves in the background is a memory I will not soon forget. The house itself is spectacular. As people have mentioned in previous reviews- they have provided everything you could need and the furniture is super comfy. We had many great day trips- but inevitably, we just wanted to go back and enjoy the house each day. Thank you Mark and Amanda for sharing your home with us. We definitely left (albeit a bit sad) feeling incredibly refreshed.
