Pond Access & Private Dock: East Wareham Home

The property is very well located for access to local beaches and access to the Cape. Grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, gas stations, other services/amusements all within convenient distance, but the property is within a residential neighborhood away from commercial activity and noise. Good access to the lake and private dock (located across from the house through another property owned by the same family). Shed next to the house is equipped with two canoes and life jackets. House is clean, with good kitchen and laundry room fit out. Lots of fans for air circulation throughout. Plenty of parking next to the house --- we only had two cars; but for families/groups needing more parking spaces, no issue. The owner of the property is a wonderful person who went out of his way to make sure we were well settled and even took some of our family members for a boat tour around the lake.

The mattresses all have seen better days. Anyone with back problems would probably not find the accommodation acceptable on this basis. I have limited physical mobility but can still manage stairs --- however, this house is not appropriate for persons in wheelchairs or with significant physical limitations.

We stayed at this house for a week in June and it was everything we had hoped for. The owner reached out about a week prior to our stay to introduce himself and his wife to let us know they'd be available upon our arrival. When we arrived and got settled, he stopped by to give us a grand tour of the house with its additional amenities and activities as described in their booking: kayaking, paddle-boat, horse shoes and fishing (poles included). He was also very kind and gave us a tour on his boat of the surrounding pond. The owners hospitality throughout our stay was above and beyond, one of the best from an owner I've experienced to date. We enjoyed our conversations with them when we saw them (weekends only). The house came with plenty of beds for our party of 6 as well a good amount of board games and a foosball table to keep us all entertained after long days of adventures. While the TV is not a smart TV there is a good collection of DVDs if you want to watch a movie (we only did this once). Spent most evenings playing board and card games, also their wifi is pretty fast having 8+ devices connected. The house is pretty well stocked with kitchen supplies and toiletries, laundry, a nice grill and outdoor seating. Two of the rooms and the basement game area had window AC units which helped with the warmer days. It is also in a great location close to a beautiful large stocked pond (full access), groceries/shopping, restaurants, the Cape Cod bay, beaches (has a parking pass), a water park and freeway access. I would highly recommend this house and would definitely book again on our next visit.
