A very nice and comfortable house but some concerns about cleanliness (notified to company)
Harbourfield is a very comfortable home, spacious and close to the centre of Salcombe (10 minute walk). It is well-appointed and has nice decking areas to sit out in.
Some cleaning issues found on arrival which marred the start of the holiday - stained bed valance; dusty skirting board in some places; two toilets visibly unclean; bathroom bin full; crumbs on chairs; sticky shelves where saucepans were kept. No hot water - discovered only late at night. Would recommend the cleaners boost after leaving so that there's hot water for guests on arrival. Driveway is tricky to park a medium-large car - we ended up parking in a neighbouring road but this may not be possible in high season. DVD player wasn't working (this had been noted in the visitors' book in April 2025)
