Very clean, well situated. The AC worked well.

The room was lovely, I had always wanted to stay in a ryokan but they can be expensive and this room gave me a perfect more Japanese sleeping experience that I wanted to have. With many temples in the area being quite pricy, staying here is a lovely alternative if you are interested in seeing and exploring Koyasan at your own pace and you can easily walk the 2km street or take the bus to Okunoin cemetery to watch the food carrying ritual or see the fire ceremony.

The owner Norihiro was super friendly and polite. The house was incredibly stylish and unique. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. We were well taken care of and got great recommendations for Koyasan. I am really thankful for the opportunity to stay at Hachi Hachi. Very clean, very calm and cosy. The futon beds were surprisingly comfortable and we slept like babies. We had no problems with shared bathroom even though we were not the only guests we never waited in line. And I cannot forget to mention the books in a bookshelf - all so beautiful, useful and interesting! I would really like to come back one day.
