Main bedroom has picture windows from both sides of bed- INCREDIBLE views of forest! Super private and quiet! Hosts e-mailed a copy of guest book including specific directions to cabin as well as local restaurants and activity guide. The directions are very helpful because GPS (Google) didn't locate the address (off grid). If you are coming in winter be sure you have all wheel or 4 wheel drive because driveway is long. It snowed about 6 inches after we arrived and hosts arranged to have driveway plowed the next morning- so thoughtful! Balcony is covered, so even in winter is a great place for morning coffee. Warm and cozy cabin! We liked the Northwest bird and tree identification books. There are tons of children's books and movies. We liked the beam with the conks (mushrooms) and information sheet about what they are and where to look in forest to find them. Fantastic hiking location! Easy to get to/from I-90 and town. Super comfy beds too.
There was a huge selecton of DVD and VHS movies, but we couldn't get either player to work. Looked ike lots of Xbox games too. It was OK because there was a closet and cupboard filled with board and card games (loved Urban Myths!) which we enjoyed more. Hosts are super responsive, so I know if we had contacted them they would have helped us. Written directions near player would have been helpful.
