About this cabin rental
Urquharts Bay is towards the end of the Whangarei Heads peninsula and is a picturesque 35 minute drive from central Whangarei city. The cabin is brand new and professionally built to a high standard. It is set in a large north facing garden sitting at the base of Mt Lion with distant views of Bream Head. The garden is home to many species of bird life including Kereru, Tui and fantail. Whangarei Heads is also a Kiwi sanctuary and they can often be heard calling at night. The cabin is fully self contained and very private with1 bed, 1 bath and a kitchenette. Bed linen and towels are provided. There is direct access down to Urquharts Bay Beach from property. A great place to stay if you want a relaxing break and peace and quiet or to base yourself while enjoying the stunning coastal environment and specially developed hiking tracks in the area.
From this property you can explore the Smugglers Bay walk, the Mt Lion, Peach Cove and Ocean Beach tracks and it’s only a short drive to the base of Mt Manaia or Mt Aubrey both offer breathtaking views of the Whangarei Harbour.
Urquharts Bay is a safe and sheltered beach and great for all water activities, especially kayaking, paddle boarding, collecting scallops and fishing. Only a 3 minutes drive to the top NZ surf beach (Ocean Beach) which is patrolled in summer.
Pets welcome by arrangement.

Cute place. Beautiful and peaceful area....the neighbours were lovely and accommodating and unobtrusive. Highly recommend. Plenty to do and see around the area. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you's very much :)
