“Lantana Cottage” is a quiet and secluded home away from home. The screened in porch allows one to relax and watch the bay. Guests have been known to see dolphins, herons, pelicans and sea gulls. Some favorites activities include fishing, crabbing, and throwing the cast net off the private pier. Or, cuddle up next to the fireplace with your pets. The lot across the street is part of this rental, so you never have to worry about parking. Less than 20 min to Gulf Shores beaches and 40 min to Fairhope.
This cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath retreat offers the perfect balance of comfort and coastal fun. The primary bedroom features a queen bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with two full beds—ideal for families or small groups. An additional half bath is located in the detached garage.
The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking essentials and a Keurig for your morning coffee. Step outside to enjoy a private pier—perfect for fishing, relaxing, or tying up your boat (note: there is no on-site boat or kayak launch). Water access is available via a ladder on the pier, with depths ranging from 4–6 feet depending on the tide.
You’ll be 15 minutes from the main strip and larger public beaches and less than 5 minutes from a smaller public beach, making it easy to enjoy both privacy and quick access to the water. Whether you’re here to unwind or explore, this home is a peaceful spot to make lasting memories.

Our 2nd time staying at the cottage and we loved it just like the first time!I do wish the sea wall(little sandy area) was cleaned up & rebuilt a bit, but other than that we had a great time in a great, homey little place

We loved our stay at Lantana Cottage! The house was clean and well furnished! The dock fishing was our favorite, as well as the sunrise and sunsets! We caught sail cats, stingrays, croakers, reds, and even a small shark!

Lantana Cottage was in a great, quiet area. It has a clean, updated bathroom; a functional kitchen; and eclectic, fun vibe in the rooms. I wish it had more lantana and possibly a small fenced in area for our two Yorkies, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The screened-in porch is essential (perfect for watching the storms roll in); as is the ground-level construction, since my mother-in-law was with us and needs wheelchair access. We would love to return!

Property wasn’t the best or worst we’ve stayed at, pretty middle of the road. It was a good place to be away from the busy-ness of Gulf Shores and the pier was nice to watch the water from. We were disappointed that the only eating utensils were 3 plastic forks, one had a broken tong.
