About this house rental
Located in one of the most popular seaside suburbs, only 5 houses from the Semaphore beach and less than 5 minutes walk to Semaphore Road where there are more than 15 restaurants with as many different cultural cuisines. There are over ten cafes, two supermarkets, one open from 7am to 10pm and a major iconic cinema screening the latest films.
If you enjoy to shop for antics, second hand furniture, retro clothes, records and/or 'opshop' clothes you are in the right place. Between Semaphore and Port Adelaide there are 6 "op shops". There's a retro furnature and homeware warehouse, beautiful gift shops and more!
There are free electric bikes that can be accessed through the Semaphore Library. Locks and helmets are included.
Across the Port River is the historic Port Adelaide. It has guided walks that inform and entertain the participants. There are several art galleries and a variety of bricBrac and "every thing from the past" shops.
If you are more nature orietated enjoy the a cruise down the Port River till you meet the sea. Or you can hire canoes and have tranquility amongst our playful dolphins.
Next to the Birkenhead bridge a market that just about sells everything from 9am to 4pm Saturdays and Sundays.
On Sundays from 7am to midday Torrens Island has an open fruit and veg market plus fresh fish sold straight off the boats from the previous night's catch.
'The SA Museum' makes South Australian history fun as well as educational with interactive displays, a life size installation of a typical convict ship that carried convicts to SA after 1836, sound scapes, video, film and more.
Theres shopping at its best in the newly extended and modernised Port Mall Shopping Centre or if you want to venture into the bright lights of the city of Adelaide its only 16 minute express train ride.
If you wish to have the pool area just to yourself it's possible to book it in advance for $100 for the day.
please note there is a $40 fee for each extra guest after 2 however if an extra bedroom is used the $40 fee will be added even if there are only 2 guests.

What a lovely place, perfect location and the place had so much character! We were sick of staying at the same modern looking homes, so to celebrate my best friend's 30th birthday, we whisked her away to this amazing retro wonderland!! We will never forget the night we had, such a unique experience Monica, the host, was absolutely lovely, we had an awesome chat with her, she made us feel right at home and showed us how to use everything before she left 10/10 definitely coming back in the future!

It was exactly as it was pictured and described & so much more the pool area was a beautiful place to relax and the quirkiness of the properly was so interesting & it’s walking distance to every thing you need & the beach 😊 we will stay again

Host claimed she didn’t know we were booked in. The house was in disarray when we arrived. Monica was very apologetic and prompt in going to house after photos were sent. She changed sheets and tidied/cleaned to a great standard. The bed in the 3rd room needs to be replaced as is very hard and uncomfortable. It’s a very quirky house. Little touches in the bathroom, a few condiments in the kitchen were appreciated although not used. A bottle of wine was left for us because of the misunderstanding and an offer of a refund (did not accept). House needs a good overhaul.
