Hotel Haus Eggewald

Die Lagein Mitten der Natur traumhaft. Die Komunikation war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich.

Ich hätte mir einen Kühlschrank im Zimmer gewünscht.

Vegan breakfast was not only possible, it was delicious!

Quiet, nice atmosphere.

During the daytime, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. My room faced the fields, so the views were lovely and relaxing. Parking was also very easy, which was important for me as I was travelling with a large van. The hotel owners kindly offered a kettle so I could make a coffee, which I appreciated. The room itself was a good size, the shower was good, and the bed was comfortable.

I had quite a bad experience during my stay at this hotel. My room was next to the communal kitchen, and unfortunately, a group of young guests returned late every night, cooking until midnight. The smell from the kitchen was unbearable; doors were constantly being slammed; there was loud laughing and talking; and at one point, even the smoke alarm went off. I politely spoke to the guests myself, but sadly, nothing really changed. I also contacted and spoke with the hotel owners; apart from offering to change the room later, not much was done to manage the situation. I understand the hotel may be quieter and perhaps trying to accommodate everyone, but there should still be clear rules about noise, cooking and respecting other guests after 11 pm. This was a business trip for me, so aside from offering to change the room later, getting proper sleep was important. Instead, it became a frustrating and uncomfortable stay because of a group of young guests who showed very little respect for others. If you decide to stay here, I would strongly recommend checking where your room is located and avoiding rooms next to the communal kitchen.
