It was less than 10 minutes from the convention center where our week long event was held but we felt like we were in our own little wooded paradise at the house

I’m starting out this review taking accountability for my poor decision making in renting this cabin. First things first. I read a review from December stating that there was a critter in the attic. To clarify, the attic they are referring to is the master suite in the upstairs of the cabin. I know this as on night one as I was drifting asleep, alone, while my family was out enjoying the town. I heard a real loud stir. As if said critter was right there in the room with me. Now my line of thinking was that surely a company like Vacasa would have had a wild animal removed by now from within the sleeping quarters of a cabin they profit from. Sadly I was mistaken and I did not enter that room again during my one week stay. Meaning I slept on a couch while my husband braved the stay upstairs. Secondly, strange noises were heard by both my teenaged daughters coming from the walls in the downstairs room and bonus room. There was only one small shower. There were literally no cooking supplies. No can opener no strainer. I mean we had the bare minimum. Two out of the three tvs did not come on. Now. I came to visit nature and was really unconcerned about tv but I do have a two year old baby and it would have been nice to have one available to her while I was cooking dinner and hand washing the dishes. On the third night we realized there was a small blue flame in the inside fireplace. It had been left on from whenever the place was last used. The cabin was also cluttered and dusty. The floors were filthy. I took my shoes off before entering the home because I’m from the south and that’s what we do. Walked around briefly and my feet were black. Like trailer park feet. One of the beds in the bonus room had no sheets and the utensils I did have to cook with had a strange slick grease barrier. So I’m gonna say please alread the reviews on this place. It’s all true. Even the messy eye sore construction site next door. I was terrified and grossed out by the conditions of this cabin. I stayed for almost 7 days. We tried not to let it ruin our time as we were very excited for the trip. We just spent as little time as possible away from the sad little cabin that we rented for a week.
