Expectations crashed against the reality
The location was quite nice, as it is close to the forest. Also the size of the room was good - it is enough space for wardrobe and not too tiny. The kitchen, same as bathroom were clean
In general my expectations were higher, that reality.
Firstly, let’s start with the customer experience - as it says at booking, the information for the check-in should be provided ahead from the Stuub langenbach. Unfortunately I didn’t receive any information neither regarding the check-in, nor general information.
I was traveling with my boyfriend and we were quite limited in time, as our main purpose of the visit was to go the Hochschwarzwald Weihnachtsmarkt. We planned the schedule very precise, not to waste too much time anywhere. What was our surprise when we arrived at the place, and to enter the door we needed to enter the code (which no one sent to us in advance). The good thing though, that the support line was available, which also for some reason took longer time, as it could be, as the lady couldn’t find my reservation for some time.
After we finally entered the hotel, we registered ourselves for the check-in, we needed to enhance the card to get the access to the room, but surprise there were no cards neither in the check-out box, nor in the wooden box, where they supposed to be (I am attaching the photo, as a proof, because lady on the phone recommend me few times to look for them more precise and careful and I am not the magician to create it from the air). Her final suggestion was to open the safe, and took from there the emergency access card, which was also a bit strange for me, because obviously the access should have only the stuff of the hotel.
And the second big disappointment, was the temperature of the floor in the bathroom, we stayed from 20-21st of December and it is winter season. Despite outside it wasn’t so cold as for the winter (around +8), the tiles at the bathroom floor was crazy cold and it was difficult to stay there more then few seconds. The heating which was in the bathroom didn’t change the situation also at all.
Furthermore, on the bedside table was a bit dirty and dusty (the photo is provided as well)

The toilet was not very clean, the was cigarette butts in the ashtray and the room could have been well aired before we arrived.

Poor and disappointing customer service.
The location is great, surrounded by the calm forest, with a nice view.
The cleaning of the room was half-done and there were missing sheets and cushions on both the double bed and the sofa bed.
I informed them by phone about the situation and was asked to look for the missing cushions and sheets in the basement, but they were not there neither.
The person said they would get back to me with a solution, but none ever called back.

Although it is written that there is a view bit there is non!! It was dirty with few spiders in the corners and towels smelled like industrial chemical! Totally disaster!

The apartments are just like the pictures, very beautiful and clean. The balcony really makes a difference, to seat outside in the sun listening to the sound of the river was amazing.

I like the interior of the flat. Everything was well organised in the shower and in the kitchen to be able to live like at home.
I booked apartment with the forest view, but unfortunately we got roof flat, and for the three rainy days we could see only sky view from our windows. This was very disappointing.

Quiet location, spacious, modern apartment.
Clean and spacious apartment. The apartment was clean and quite large with a big balcony looking into the woods. The kitchen had all necessary appliances and cooking utensils needed for cooking in.
The room was a bit cold on arrival and took several hours to warm up after turning up the radiators. Also, communication on parking location would be nice as there is only space for approx 4 cars at the front of the apartment building. There is an additional parking lot below the building but no directions or signs posted on how to drive to the additional parking.

Big, cosy, complete apartment suitable for many families.
We got free upgrade to slight bigger apartment (different building, but close by). That apartment was perfect for our big family trip (6 adults, 2 kids) very much. Quiet. Fast WIFI. Complete kitchen. Spacious. Have many rooms and 2 separate shower/ toilet which helped as we were with 3 families as a whole. Location was quite scenic in the Black Forest. Host was friendly. Plenty free parking in front of the building. BBQ place and ping pong table available at our ground floor balcony (but we didn't use them due to wintery weather).
Slightly pricey but I guess that comes with any big and multi-family apartment.

Location was fabulous
We didn't get the accommodation originally booked as a cracking in the wall made the apartment unsafe. The replacement apartment was further out about 4 km but stunning views. Apartment itself wasn't very clean floors dirty oven greased up and the smelll of stale smoke was in the woodcladding

Studio appartment for hotel price, few shortcomings
Studio appartment with kitchen for the price of a hotel room, quiet but central location in Schwarzwald, parking included, nice view, hochschwarzwald card included, well equipped kitchen. Modern interior. Double doors to terrace.
Air circulation of bathroom was broken, and the shower was open, so everything got wet and stayed damp all day. No towel change. Only one comfy chair. Creaky bed. No broom, no squeegee, no cleaning cloth. No bedside lamp or nightstand.

Avoid booking the top floor, it's much lower than expected, no value for money.
The location was nice, and the full kitchen was a nice touch, plus the place had a washing machine and dryer!
The check-in process was completely broken, and we were stuck with 2 small kids unable to enter the room, or use the bathroom, etc. We had to go through multiple calls with Stuub to even enter the room. The washing machine has a 2 Euro charge to use, it was absolutely ridiculous (try getting enough coins for it in a small city), and the electricity cut off mid-wash, leaving our clothes completely wet. That wasn't the worst part. The ceiling was extremely low and sloped, leaving most of the rooms unusable. We hit out head on the roof multiple times, and instead of just enjoying our stay, had to constantly worry about standing up, or reaching for something, for fear of hitting our head on the low and sloped ceiling. I wouldn't recommend the top floor stay to anyone expecting to be able to walk around, I think they would have been better either offering an extremely discounted rate for it, or just not placing guests there at all.

it was nice, we like the location and the concept.
we didn’t liked that they didn’t have fans at all and when we asked for they gave us only one for 3 bedrooms. also, we came and in the bathroom was a used toilet paper that didn’t even was enough for one day.. also, the shutter in the bathroom didn’t closed and we needed to put towels on the window so the neighbors around won’t see us taking shower.

Large terrace could use a bbq and sitting area, only table and chairs.
Shower floods sink area. Either provide a squeegee or add a door. Means your feet get wet when all you want to do is wash your hands.

It was clean with a beautiful view.
The electronic check in failed and we had to wait for an employee to come check us in. We also couldn’t check out electronically. These were the only downsides to our stay. But battling with the tablet for 45 minutes and then waiting for someone to help us check in in person was a major frustration.

It was very clean, the interior was nicely done and felt right at home there. The view to the forest was also very beautiful
The bed was noisy (cracking noise), the electric charging station was blocked by fossil cars, so we couldn’t rely on it and had to charge first everytime we wanted to drive somewhere. They did listen to our advice to hang up a sign there, which made it better! So I hope it’s solved now
