Arka Apartments

The apartment is as described and as shown in the pictures. Very close to the Archaeological Museum and easily accessible from the airport, despite being in the historical center of Napoli. The two squares nearby, Bellini and Dante, are very nice, with many restaurants, cafes and bars. There are also small convenience stores and the pasticceria right at the ground floor is amazing. Many of the must-sees of the historical center are within short walking distance. In case you intend to use Napoli as a basis for boat trips, and will need to go to Beverello pier to catch the boats, Metro 1 will take you directly from "Museo" (just across the street) to "Municipio". If you intend to do many organised bus guided excursions, most of them leave from Garibaldi. Again, Metro 2 will take you directly from "Cavour" (connected to Museo station just across the street) to "Garibaldi", which is just one stop away - whereas it's almost half an hour away on foot. The apartment itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay. you feel very secure as there is a front gated entrance on the street, then a second gate to get into the Arka Apartments. we arrived late, so we did a self-check in. The instructions were crystal clear and everything went on smoothly. Armando was always available on whatsapp for any question we had.

Quirky apartment right but Archeological Museum, busy area but sound proofing excellent. Host lovely and helpful too!

Due to our flight being delayed and no taxis at the airport the host picked us up and took us to the apartment! Apartment had everything we needed and in a great location! Great contact with the host before and during the stay also.

Nothing everything was great

The flat is located just outside the narrow streets of Napoli, yet still very close to the center. In fact, it feels preferable to stay there instead of the the older part of the city. The view towards the Archaeological Museum is very pleasant, though somewhat spoiled by the installed A/C unit and the constant noise from the street below. However, Napoli is supposed to be noisy and the room was relatively quiet.

Upon arrival on Friday night, no one was there to hand us the keys, and we had to wait more than half an hour for two young women to arrive—neither of whom spoke basic English, which made communication very difficult. The elevator is very old and too small to fit a large suitcase or stroller, so we had to use the stairs most of the time. The flats are situated on the first floor, down two large corridors with eccentric decoration but little fresh air. Lights turn off within a few seconds. While the apartment has been renovated, it is not very child-friendly, as there are two lower-level drops within the unit and big objects. The decoration of the appartment is random.
