Franklin - An Escape to the Country

The cottage was so beautiful on a picture perfect property! Felt like a postcard

I have nothing to complain about :)

Location and property were gorgeous, bed was massive and comfy, really nice having wine and breakfast items upon arrival, the bath was lovely and enjoyed seeing the ponies and goat.

The staff were quite dismissive, when we arrived there were bugs all in the bed(including inside the sheets, mattress and pillows) and all over the towels provided on the bed. When we called they were very dismissive and said “it’s the mountains, you’re going to get bugs” them not realising I grew up in the area, having bugs in your bed and towels is in fact not normal, we were told to “use bug spray provided” they did offer us different accomodation, along with a condescending “but there will be bugs there also” the rest of the house had no bugs, I can guarantee if they spent the money we did to stay here they would not welcome bugs in their bed and towels.

The Cottage was immaculatly designed and prepared. It was in the most perfect location and had everything and much more than we desired. We have definitely found our hidden tranquil getaway!

The location, lay out and design. Overall a great stay and I would definitely recommend.
