About this house rental
Waterfront (with dock) beach house located on Goose Creek, Southold (North Fork, LI). This custom-built new construction (2014) 2,000 sq.ft. home exudes that coastal New England summer vibe. Its waterfront location allows for endless swimming, paddling and watersports right outside your door. Start your day early with a paddle on tranquil Goose Creek or soak up some rays in the sand and on comfy lounge chairs. Alternatively, bring your own boat or rental for longer excursions to Peconic Bay, Greenport, Shelter Island, Sag Harbor and more.
Afternoon plans can include a visit to one (or several) of the many excellent wineries dotting the North Fork or nearby Greenport Harbor Brewing (15 options within 5 miles). Stroll through the quaint village of Southold (founded 1640, oldest English settlement on Long Island) or the bustling seaport of Greenport and discover the region’s growing arts scene, exploding artisanal foods options and wonderous farm stands. You’ll soon have your favorite vineyard, farm stand, cheese place, coffee roaster and personal oyster supplier… and there goes the afternoon.
Alternatively, pick up your shellfish permit and go clamming right off the dock outside the house. Be sure to be back in time, however, to enjoy the epic sunsets from the expansive deck and/or balcony while you savor your local wines, specialty cocktails and masterful BBQ. Finish the evening off by gathering your group around the firepit for s’mores and a nightcap.

Great Property and location in Southold. Close to all the wineries and beaches. This was our 3rd time at this property. Its always clean and host is very responsive. Sunsets are the best. Boat docking is a plus!

A repeat perfect experience! The beautiful setting among the oak trees on one side and Goose Creek from the back, daily kayak launches from the backyard beach, morning coffee from the deck watching Osprey fly overhead and dive into the Creek for breakfast, afternoon kayak treks to Goose Creek Beach from the house, cycling to Croteaux Vineyard for afternoon wine. The house is just perfect. It has EVERYTHING one could possibly need. Thank you for another wonderful vacation experience!!!

We love our time on the creek at Dan's! Nothing beats waking up to that view and the sunsets. Can't wait for next summer.

Spectacular property, inside and out. Every room was designed with care and good taste. The water views from the master bedroom and the kitchen/great room were beautiful, especially at sunset. The house is located on a quiet street in a quiet section of Southold, making running and biking easy. The house had kayaks and a SUP available, also easy to use from the dock. One of many lovely beaches just a short paddle away.Dan was a very responsive and accommodating host.Overall, a fabulous retreat!
