About this house rental
Very secure 2 bedroom/2 bathroom detached bungalow in a gated community that is 500 metres from the beach. Pool steps away from the house. Sleepy little beach town 20 minutes South of Jaco, Costa Rica. Surfboard rentals, monkey and crocodile tours. Turtle release operation. Seven restaurants in town, 2 grocery stores. Sleeps 4 comfortably. Corner house no neighbours. Lovely mix of Costa Rican people and North American expats.

The only reason I’m not giving this property five stars is the smaller kitchen appliances definitely need updating. There was also something of a water pressure issue which was not in anyway the host’s fault. Apparently the whole neighborhood shares the same water feed.
Judith communicated beautifully and there were no substantial problems other than the water.
As the title suggests, the proximity to the beach is terrific (less than a 10 minute walk) and, as another reviewer pointed out, the sunrises and sunsets are pretty amazing. Highly recommend both.

The property is good but a bit far from the beach for us - our fault, not that of the property. Privacy was great. Kitchen adequate. Outdoor dining table was very useful. The fact that the pool was not operational was not the fault of the owner but was very disappointing t as that was one of the main draws when booking. There were a few other things in the listing that were not actually there but were not a problem.
