SATURDAY CHECK IN - 4X4 BEACH - Approximately 3 miles up the 4x4 beach Hot tub and pool is open May 1st through October 1st.
Welcome to 'Lightly Salted', one of Swan Beach's finest homes perched against oceanfront dunes of the wild and beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. This home boasts views of blue-green waves, bubbling white surf, and wide, sandy, wheat toned beaches as far as the eye can see. The enchantment begins as soon as your 4x4 vehicle leaves the pavement to drive right on the sand, only a few feet from the roar of the surf.
Panoramic views, Kinetico Water Systems, state of the art electronics, quality bedding and Sleep Number® beds, delicious drinking water and a well-stocked kitchen are at your disposal. All newly updated roku smart tvs , bring your own passwords to utilize the streaming apps (YouTube tv, Hulu, Netflix, etc). Outdoor picnic seating area with large hot tub and a charcoal grill. The ground floor half bath and second floor mini fridge make poolside entertainment a breeze. Hop out of the pool and walk 50 feet across the dune to the ocean!
The extremely well equipped kitchen has all stainless major appliances, cookware, utensils and small appliances. Brew your morning coffee in the Keurig, Mr Coffee and enjoy it while watching the waves from the screened porch just off the kitchen.
Sleep Number® beds with dual comfort controls are in 4 bedrooms: the third floor master king and three queens. The kid's room with two sets of bunkbeds.
POOL and HOT TUB are typically opened from MAY until end of SEPTEMBER. The pool is not heated.

Always arrive before dark because the beach is more difficult to navigate at night. We recommend lowering your tire pressure to 15-20 psi so bring a tire pressure gauge along. Tires can be re-inflated at any of the area gas stations or the county put in FREE air stations at the Historic Corolla Park, 1100 Club Road, Corolla. The Park is on the sound side of the road. Turn in at the park road, make a right at the stop sign and another quick right into the gravel parking lot. The air up stations will be at the end of the lot. Check area tide charts prior to arrival. Low tide is ideal for beach driving. Follow all posted speed limits (35 mph or 15 mph when within 300 feet of pedestrians or wild horses). Drive on the hard-packed sand near the edge of the water or close to the dunes. Leave the middle of the beach available for parked vehicles. Drivers must be 16 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. ATVs are not permitted. Also, Currituck County does not allow personal motorized watercraft on the ocean. Jet skis and personal motorboats are allowed on the Currituck Sound. The closest boat ramp is located at the Whalehead Club in Corolla. Due to shallow water and grass, this ramp is suitable for small craft only. For more information regarding Currituck County's rules and regulations, please contact the Currituck County Chamber of Commerce.

Great property if you like nature and a little privacy. Family had a great time and we would do it again.Recommend in earnest. Go, get off the blacktop and get your 4x4 some beach exercise.

Our first time in the Northern Banks / 4WD section of OBX. We are hooked, we’ll definitely be back. We went in the off-season which was quite nice. The property itself is as advertised and very comfortable and spacious, and well appointed. The owner was extremely responsive and a breeze to deal with. I thought it was very good value for the money and appropriately priced. Highly recommend but hopefully YOU don’t book MY Thanksgiving holiday next year! :)

House/property was everything we needed. Check in process was very easy, location was perfect. We saw the wild horses every day, which was fantastic! We had no issues, so did not need to contact the owner during our stay, but prior to the stay, owner was very responsive.

We recently stayed at this house and had a mix of experiences. The location was fantastic—just a short walk to the beach—and we enjoyed seeing horses almost every day, which truly added charm to our stay. However, we did encounter an issue with the water smell, which was less than pleasant (sulfur).Upon our arrival, we noticed a few cleanliness concerns that impacted our overall experience. The living room vents seemed to require some attention, as there was visible mold, and we found some dust throughout the house. Given that the property has a cleaning crew and guests are expected to leave the house in "broom swept condition," we were a bit surprised by this.While we loved the location and the unique aspects of our stay, we believe that addressing the cleanliness and maintenance of the house would enhance the experience for future guests.
