4/5 — Good apartment, but budget for hidden extras We had a really enjoyable stay — the apartment itself was good, well-equipped, and in a great spot for exploring Morzine. The balcony had great views, which was a real highlight.

The shower and sink did back up with water quite often though, which was a bit of a nuisance. My one issue is with charges that weren't made clear on the Booking.com listing. After we'd left, we received an email charging a mandatory 110€ cleaning fee, 20€ for bed linen and towels, and 35€ tourist tax, none of which were flagged at the time of booking. Wifi was also offered at an extra 50€ for the week, which we didn't opt for given the cost — most places these days include this as standard. None of these are huge sums individually, but together they added up to about 180 Euro on top of the advertised price, and it would have been fairer to see them itemised before booking rather than discovering them after the fact. Would recommend the apartment, but go in with your eyes open on the extras and be aware the plumbing could use some attention

3 days in advance we received a text that bed linen and towels were not included (€20 per person), and a deposit of €750 is required. On arrival we were informed that we needed to do the out-cleaning or pay €110 to get it cleaned. None of these cost were mentioned at booking.com.
