About this cottage rental

Chapelhill is nestled on the shores of the Gareloch, conveniently located for Loch Lomonondside and the National Park. The Lomond Shores Gateway, the Trossachs and the Arrochar Alps are all within easy driving distance. Helensburgh is within close proximity, a town which oﬀers a wide range of award winning eateries as well as home to Hill House, renowned as the ﬁnest domestic masterpiece of internationally famous architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

Recently built to the highest specifications, Chapelhill boasts spectacular views of the Gareloch. The house can comfortably accommodate eight people. Of the four bedrooms, three have ensuite facilities with king size beds, one is a twin, and all have 32' smart tvs with additional access to Sky tv. Fibre broadband provides an instant connection to the internet with wiﬁ available throughout.

On the ground level, the house ﬂows seamlessly between the kitchen, dining and living areas all equipped and furnished to the very highest standard. French doors from both the living and dining areas provide access to the extensive patio, ideal for barbecues or simply just chilling out in the hot tub. Two bedrooms lie to the rear of the property. The upper level boasts two bedrooms, a study area and a separate oﬃce space.

Furthermore, guests will have access to the adjacent boathouse and can partake in table tennis, pool, darts and table football. The boat house also has an untethered electric car charging point.

We stayed at Chapelhill to celebrate our grandson’s 18th birthday. The house is absolutely stunning. Liam provides a fantastic welcome pack and also had bought a balloon and cake which was so thoughtful. Everything you can imagine you will need is in the kitchen, the space for a multi generational break is perfect with the Boathouse providing additional games and the hot tub is the cherry on top. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend.

This is the third time I have stayed at Chapelhill with a group of friends and family, and it will not be the last. The host Liam really goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and will happily sort out any issues at the drop of a text or call. The house is a perfect size for 8 people and is well equipped with absolutely everything you could need. Every time we return he has added some new features..since last year he has added a fully equipped gym on the ground floor of the boathouse as well as wireless phone chargers beside all the beds, and he has even decorated the washing machine to look like a VW campervan. The bedrooms are all a good size, with large walk-in wardrobes (big enough to put a cot in), super comfy beds and 3 of them are en-suite. There's a games room on the top floor with the latest PlayStation and VR headset as well in addition to the games room on the upper floor of the boathouse (with pool table, table tennis, darts, pinball wtc). Our favourite part is the hot tub, and Liam has provided separate towels for this as well as plenty of plastic glasses to use, while admiring the lovely view. When we arrive, Liam always has the place smelling like a spa, and leaves a fabulous welcome pack as well as chocolates on the pillows! This is such a special place to spend some quality time with friends and family and we cannot wait to go back.

A fantastic stay, location is superb and the home is stunning. Has everything you could need and Liam was great throughout, answering any questions we had. The location is fantastic, we went a walk to the nearbye down of Helensburgh at the water front. The views from the house are spectacular, so breathtaking. Good communication from the owner and company we good with throughout. The house itself is superb. Has everything you could need. So many rooms and nice and clean. There was 7 of us staying and there was plenty of room for all. Kitchen and living rooms are all fully equipped. Hot tub was a 10/10, could not recommend this more. While we didn’t use it much (due to the hot weather) the games room was also stacked with lots of options for gaming. 100% would recommend staying here, it’s at a good price point given all the facilities available in the house and I would for sure come back again. We were delighted to visit Chapelhill again, is always our first choice when travelling to the area and never fails to deliver. Is a beautiful property which is impeccably clean and well presented. With great facilities, fantastic garden and hot tub, is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The house had everything and then some. The host was friendly and helpful. The house was big enough that we could find quiet but not to big we couldn't meet. The accommodation and facilities were very good. The views were lovely and the games room was everything we could want. Thank you for a wonderful stay. This is the third time we have been to Chapelhill Lodge as a family (party of 8) and its perfect for us as there is so much space and also the Boathouse is great for spending time. First time we had our little one with us and there was very kindly a gift for her on arrival which was a lovely touch. Can't wait to go back again next year!

Cannot fault Chapelhill, the location is great, the property and internal finishing is fabulous, and the owner is super helpful. This place has everything you would want or need, either as a base for exploring, (lots to see and do) or as a sit in and relax and catch up with family and friends. I booked Chapelhill for a weekend away for my fiancés 30th with our family and the house exceeded our expectations. We were amazed at how much the owner had went above and beyond for us by providing a selection of food, drinks etc. The house had everything you needed for a weekend away and it is in a stunning location, the hot tub and games room are also a great addition. Value for money was brilliant and I would highly recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back.

We stayed in Chapelhill for 4 nights and can honestly say it’s the best house we’ve ever stayed in. The house is beautiful inside and out, I can’t recommend it enough. We met the owner who couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the games room was also a great addition. The views were amazing as it sits high up on the hill. The house is very well equipped unlike other houses we’ve been too, the majority of things we brought we didn’t even need. We were provided with a welcome pack which was above and beyond what was expected. If you are looking for a great stay with family and friends Chapelhill has everything you need. We’ll definitely be back at some point, thanks so much for having us!

On arrival the first thing you notice is the view. This property could not be more beautifully positioned and the hot tub makes the most of it. Liam was on hand to answer any questions we had. The welcome pack goes above and beyond. We had a lovely few days with a family wedding thrown in. A wonderful place to gather as a family or with friends and the games room is a superb bonus for when you need a little diversion.

One of my best friend visited me from Singapore with his family . We stayed for four nights in the cottage . We booked for a week over the Christmas period. The house was dressed for the occasion which delighted our 5yr old. The house was even better than we expected. The house was perfect for our family with great sized public rooms. We had everything we could possibly need . They were extremely generous with the food basket they left we were very grateful. We all had tv in our bedroom should we need a bit of space and the quality of the furnishings was excellent. The only issue we had ws the pots and pans weren't up to the standard of all the other items . As a family we cook alot so used them constantly but that was a very small issue. The games room over in the garage was well used by the males in the family. We lived it so much we have booked again for next Christmas. We recommend it to family friends who have booked for new year 2024. Thank you to the owner for Brodies wonderful gift.

We Absolutely loved returning to Chapelhill To celebrate our Daughter’s 21st Birthday. Stayed for 4 nights. Plenty of room for everyone.. but still couldn’t figure out how to work the Washer/Dryer. The weather was nice and managed to dry the washing outside.

Second time staying at Chapelhill. Liam is a truly great host - very attentive and quick to respond to my questions - no matter how trivial. The rental was stocked and ready to go, the beds extremely comfy, the dining and sitting rooms wonderful - and the patio had enough furniture for 10+ people. The amenities were high quality - and the kitchen was stocked with any appliance you could think of. Can't wait to come back!

We had a very enjoyable time at Chapelhill which overlooks the Gareloch. Perfect location for trips to either the north or south of Loch Lomond. The host could not have been more accommodating ensuring we had all the essentials to hand on arrival. Not to mention the nice touch of providing a new radio controlled car for my boys to use whilst on holiday. Although wintry during our stay we enjoyed the company of a deer in the garden on the 1st morning with the sight of a submarine sailing on the 2nd day. The accommodation is excellent with all the mod cons. Easily sleeping 8 of us on a 4 night vacation. I would easily recommend staying at Chapelhill.

Rented Chapelhill for a weekend get together with friends. Lovely house, spotlessly clean, smelled amazing. Lovely bed linens and very comfy beds. The house is extremely well equipped however needs serving bowls and additional glasses, there were eight of us and there were only two champagne flutes ( not that this detracted from our stay in the slightest) also some more tea towels and a better set of knives, these are very insignificant things . We had an amazing weekend and would certainly return.

Chapelhill was ideal for our family..4 couples, 4 year old child and dog. Owner Liam thought of everything with amazing welcome pack including one for our dog..no need to take any basic food/cleaning items. Very clean, comfortable with great quality furniture, bedding, towels etc. There is highchair and travel cot, but with prior agreement we took additional stool for dining table and blow up bed for our child. Beautiful views over Gare Loch with large child/dog safe balcony. Not particularly suitable for anyone with mobility problems. House over 3 floors with living area down 1 flight, situated at top of steep drive and steep stairs up to games room. Nearest supermarket about 5 miles away. Liz at Auchenheglish Lodges was really friendly and helpful with booking including change of dates, child and dog requirements. Highly recommend both Chapelhill and Auchenheglish Lodges.

Beautiful modern house and arrangement of rooms with ensuite (3 from 4 rooms). Immaculate, clean and lots of thoughtful and generous provision. Owner is local and attentive to any matters or help. Calming views of loch on front rooms. Helensburgh is a short drive with delightful shops and a refill shop! Easy access to Loch Lomond and going further to more remote mountain areas. One of our best holidays in the Uk.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Chapelhill! The property itself was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It was well equipped with everything we needed and the fantastic welcome pack was a great addition. A lovey spacious house . Perfect for a group of friends (we were 4) who always like a room each and even better that 3 were also en-suite. The ground floor is so special with the beautiful dining area opening on to the decking. This was so good that we never ate out , the perfectly equipped kitchen made it a pleasure to cook and dine at home. We all commented the very high quality of the bedding too. Wish we could have stayed longer (we only had 4 nights). All in all, a lovely stay in a superb holiday home. Must also mention a very, very generous welcome pack of food/drinks. A real bonus. The best I've ever seen.

I booked a 3 night stay at Chapelhill for myself and the girls and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The interior was beautiful and had absolutely everything we needed. The bedrooms were spacious with en suits and the games room was a lot of fun! What made it special was the owner had clearly thought about accommodating a variety of guests and provided a lovely welcome pack. The house at Chapelhill is amazing, plenty of rooms and showers in almost every bedroom. Location is great, the view is fantastic. They have a very generous welcome gift of food which was great to have. Boat house with the games room was fun and different from other places we have stayed. Would recommend this to anyone looking for some time away and want some where relaxing.
