About this villa rental
Villa Les Fonds Blancs offers an exceptional setting with a breathtaking view of the sea.
Access from a private pontoon will allow you to swim directly in the turquoise Caribbean water. Swimming in the lagoon is protected by an anti-algae net.
The house is located in the town of Vauclin in Martinique, in the South Atlantic region of the island in a secure residence. She is composed :
- a fully equipped kitchen open to a dining room
- a large living room with a TV corner
- 3 air-conditioned bedrooms with double beds
- 3 bathrooms adjoining the bedrooms
- a 150m² furnished terrace with swimming pool and offering a magnificent view of the sea.
Household linen is provided as well as free WiFi access.
A washing machine and washing dishes are available to tenants.
The location of the villa will allow guests to be close to the various beaches in the South of the island as well as the rum house of Clément. In the surrounding area, you can practice various activities such as windsurfing, kite surfing, scuba diving or even snorkeling.
Martinique Aimé Césaire Airport is 20 km away.
Native of the island, your hosts will be happy to inform you about the best visits to make.
The house does not accept pets and is not suitable for young children.
A deposit is to be provided (by check or cash) and will be required on the day of entry into the premises.

This is a beautiful property on a beautiful Caribbean island.
The pictures are accurate and we were very comfortable during our visit.
There are a few important things to note. The host requests that you sign another rental agreement outside of the VRBO site and demands the guests be prepared to provide 1500.00 euros as a damage deposit before information is given about the location of the property. This large deposit requirement is NOT clearly stated in the property information. It came as a surprise to us, 2 weeks before our stay.
The amenities in the surrounding area are also limited. You should be prepared to cooked most of your meals as good restaurants in the area are few and not opened for many days in the week (Wednesday-Saturday mostly) and require reservations.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la villa de Mr Bernus. Celle-ci est conforme à l’annonce. Elle est très confortable. Dommage que nous ayons subi les travaux extérieurs les 2 premiers jours( indépendants du propriétaire) qui ont perturbé la quiétude du lieu.
La vue est magnifique, on ne se lasse pas de regarder le paysage, et le petit ponton qui est accessible depuis l’extérieur de la villa ( une centaine de marches pour le mériter ) est simplement magique.

Superbe endroit avec magnifique terrasse avec piscine et vue sur la mer Très calme. Super vue.

Propriétaire très sympathique et disponible si besoin (mais nous n'avons eu aucun pb😀).
Localisation parfaite pour nous qui cherchions le calme.

This review would have been rated higher. However:
WARNING FOR AMERICANS/ENGLISH SPEAKERS: the listing on the American/British version of VRBO is inaccurate. There is NO boat ride included in the rental. We were told we were welcome to book it with their friend (€350). Two weeks after being told the inaccuracy was due to VRBO, no correction has been made to the listing. Seems to be a bait and switch for non-French renters.
If you decide to rent this property, make sure everything that is advertised in the listing is actually included in the contract before signing it.
The pros:
Stylish and comfortable unit (note: rooms are on various levels, need to navigate steps)
Beautiful view with cool breezes
Cleanliness of house and pool
Two dedicated parking spaces
Quiet neighborhood
Access to the ocean (note: on the back side, via a steep descent. Dock only)
The cons:
Inaccurate advertising - boat excursion is NOT included (and no effort to “make it right” was made)
Left with sense of being scammed
Car is a must
Beaches, sites and amenities a sizable distance away
Small comfort details missing
