Nestled along the Skootamatta River, built 2019 - Peaceful Cozy Cottage on the River. One Room Open Concept 240 sqft, 'NEW' 32" TV for DVDs, A/C & Heat, small Fridge, Sink, Toilet, Microwave, Hot Plate, Private Deck w/2 deck chairs, 4 Lawn Chairs for around Fire Pit, Picnic Table, Propane BBQ, Queen Bed and Queen Futon, Dining Table w/4 chairs, All Cooking & Eating Supplies. BRING YOUR OWN LINENS (available 1x for fee).
Dog Friendly (1 dog max). No cats allowed.
"Suitable" for 2 Adults & 2 small children (4 adults if your comfortable in small spaces).
FREE 1 DAY RENTAL Canoe or Kayak.
We are located one mile from the "Eastern Ontario Recreational Trails" and the "Dark Sky Viewing Area" on Hwy 41.
Located in our Campground, Haid's Hideaway Family Campground along the river; Enjoy the Parks Amenities and FREE Events.
Swim at the Small Beach, Bike, Hike, Play on the Big Bouncer, take a Lazy River ride on a Tube or just enjoy the Song Birds while Reading a Book and listening to the water flow over the Rapids. NO WIFI.
Private Shower Stalls and Laundry facilities available (located steps away @ Main Washrooms). Toilet/Sink in Cottage.
No Tents allowed on cottage properties (breakfast tents only).
NEAR BY: Chip Truck is a 10 minute drive to Kaladar. Towns of Tweed and Madoc are only a 10 minute drive and they offer full services...LCBO/Beer Store, Grocery, Fuel, Restaurants, Live Theatre, Winery, etc. etc.
NO 1 NIGHT STAYS on Friday or Saturday nights or 2 NIGHT STAYS on any Long Weekend (if booked it is subject to an up charge of $50+hst at arrival) .
**NO SATURDAY Arrivals Allowed during the months of July and August.
CLOSED: October Thanksgiving Monday until May Long Weekend.

Great stay! Super clean campgrounds! Can tell owners take alot of pride, will stay again! Had lots of relax time floating down the river. Sunsets off the deck listening to the water fall off the rapids was something out of a movie

Description is 100% true. We family of 3 had a wonderful time! Will definitely recommend if you are planning for a relaxing stay. River flowing right in front of the cottage was all we needed.

Beautiful little spot, quiet clean space to stay. Brought our one year old to the cottage but didn’t realize it was so close to a cliff edge before the water so it was a bit of a struggle constantly keeping him away from there! Might be better for a little bit older children. Otherwise exactly like the pictures, perfect for a quiet night by the fire :)
