De la Plage Residences

The proximity to the town centre was great, walking distance to shops and bushwalks. The unit was modern and well provisioned, the bathroom was a delight, the bed was comfortable and all the living areas were warm enough. The washing machine was a plus as were the milk and orange juice provided - in fact there were plenty of other supplies like oil, sauce, jam etc. The value for money was also a positive. A HUGE shout out for the bath towels which were luxuriously soft.

The problem with collecting the keys was there are two lock boxes at the entrance - the one at eye level is the WRONG one and we didn't imagine there would be a second lock box at knee height. There were only 2 coffee pods provided and no tissues anywhere, also the batteries in the TV remote were dead (and no spares). It was strange that the bed linen had no top sheet but the fitted sheet and doona were fine for us. The hot water in the shower was not quite hot enough for my liking (but the kitchen sink hot water was super hot). Lastly, the people upstairs were quite noisy at times.

We loved the location, a little bit down the road from the main village, a very pleasant walk along the beach or beach path above the dunes. It was very well equipped with all the facilities for a short or longer stay. Spacious kitchen, dining lounge area. The beds were very comfortable. Hopefully we will get to stay again on our next visit.

The only thing we felt could have been improved was that there was old fruit left in a bowl on the table and expired food items in the cupboard and fridge.

Location was excellent and we were lucky with the weather. Everything we could have asked for was there.
