The staff were exceptional. Friendly and keen to help especially Putro and other staff at front desk. The cleaning staff did their best in trying circumstances. The Villa is a bit out of the way which made it quieter. If you like to walk out and be in the action this location is not for you. It’s a fair walk to the centre of seminyak. You can get a Gojek (like Uber) but with traffic it can take 20 mins to get there. Sometimes it can be just as quick to walk by the time you wait on the car. There were a few Warungs (small restaurants) nearby which served great food at great prices and always quiet.

The Villa itself was under par and has serious maintenance and cleanliness issues. The fridge took a long time to cool items and the freezer didn’t work at all (no door on it see pics). We put bottles of water in there and they didn’t even freeze. The microwave didn’t work at all even after persevering for a few days on different settings. The staff were very accommodating and replaced it with another one from another Villa and even that didn’t work. I felt sorry for the staff having to deal with it. It was evident that the owners lacked the ability to maintain the villas to an acceptable standard. One of the sinks in the bathroom leaked and there was a continuous foul smell coming from the drains. The shower didn’t drain of water properly also. The cleaning staff did there best but it was clear it was a plumbing issue that required a professional. The safe also didn’t work and we were left to open and close it manually with the emergency key which wasn’t that simple and this had issues. There was mould growth everywhere which was beyond the usual daily cleaning (see pics). So again the staff did their level best to clean but it needs serious rectification beyond what the daily staff can do. The kitchen was not well equipped. It only had a small omelette pan and one small pot (see pics). If you think you are going to be able to make any meal for 2 or more at any meal time forget it. There is no toaster either so breakfast is limiting. There was also only 2 plates and 2 bowls so you find yourself continually washing to use each for multiple uses. If you are only staying a few nights and will be eating out 3 times a day and all you want is a bigger space than what a hotel room provides then it’s passable. For a holiday of a week or more (we were there for 2 weeks) then don’t bother. The lounge also didn’t escape scrutiny as the couch was burst with holes and badly stained. As I said before, all things beyond the staffs control ( see pics)
