About this house rental

Bring your families, friends, or colleagues together for work or play! This smartly remodeled and spotless sanctuary welcomes you with character and comforts for your Portland retreat. This 1911 house is loaded with character and thoughtful amenities. This animal-free, smoke-free space has been carefully designed to provide comfortable stays for guests on vacation or traveling for business.

Guests have private access to the entire house (except the basement), the front porch, the driveway, and the back patio. Guests share the use of the back garden with the hosts who reside in a tiny home in the back of the property as well as utilize the basement of the main house (as a note, there is no access from the basement to the main house where guests stay). The hosts enjoy the opportunity to meet guests and share helpful resources to improve your stay and also greatly respect the privacy of our guests.

The house is steps from quaint Kenton Park and business district with restaurants, taprooms, and coffee shops. 7-minute walk to the Max light rail station takes you downtown in 20 minutes. Also close to multiple bus lines. Convenient home base for excursions to the Columbia River Gorge, Mt Hood, and Vancouver, WA.

The house was clean and very comfortable. It was located in a beautiful neighborhood that was quiet and felt very safe. Access to public transportation was easy, only about a half mile from the property to the nearest Max station. Plenty of shopping and a variety of good restaurants nearby. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything that we needed. We will definitely stay here again next time!

This house is a 10 minute walk from downtown Kenton. About 11 or 12 minute walk to the MAX station. Beautiful Kenton Park is less than two minutes around the corner. Quiet neighborhood, clean and well kept.

We were 4 mature adults visiting Portland for a quick weekend to see a theater production at University of Portland. The VRBO was meticulously cared for. Everything was clean and neat. The owners were respectful and responsive. It met our needs for a quick weekend in which we were not cooking a lot and/or hanging out at home. It met our needs near the University, but it was more convenient than cozy. The neighborhood was quiet, except for the trains, but we knew about those ahead of time so we expected that. There was a park within a quarter mile, but there were homeless camper trailers lining the street adjacent, so the park was not alluring as a place to walk. I may have missed it but there was no aluminum foil or plastic wrap or ziplock bags for leftovers. So just an FYI to bring your own. We really appreciated the cleanliness and convenience.

My sisters and I booked this beautiful property for a weekend of wedding dress shopping for my daughter. The location was centrally located to many destinations in Portland. The home was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with luxurious touches. We had everything we needed for a fun "ladies' weekend." I would highly recommend it for couples, families, or a group of friends. The property owner was very communicative. Would definitely book again!

This is the #1 spot to stay if you are visiting the area. The home was spotless, family-oriented, and cozy. The host was great and thoughtful about everything for our stay, even make-up wipes. We forgot our son's jacket and host contacted us immediately to come back for it. Exceptional service and outstanding location. Jenny and Zak have truly curated their home to allow their guests to feel comfortable, secure, and welcomed. We loved the overall decor and truly appreciated the wonderful kitchen! They have truly thought of most everything even a chef could want to have. The only four star we gave was our of their control as the train was a little challenging the first night. However, Jenny and Zak thought of that too and have provided excellent ear plugs! We loved being close to the park and such a cute little district. This home was also perfect for us as it gave us a home base between the people we came to see. We highly recommend hosts Jenny and Zak for your Portland adventure! Thank you!

My wife and I love to visit the PNW and rehydrate our souls a couple of times a year, we brought our adult kid with us and decided to rent a house for four nights. This place is SO CHARMING! We were able to have everyone in their own rooms, but the downstairs amenities were so comfortable and inviting. The hosts even had a " things you might have forgotten" basket, which was great because I forgot my toothbrush! The house is a short walk across a wonderful park to the little downtown area of Kenton, which has a fantastic bakery and cafe, as well as a couple of fun antiques shops and great restaurants. I was really happy with our decision, and can't justify a hotel when this little gem is right there! Thank you Jenny and Zak, your house is a dream!

Thank you, Jenny and Zak for providing us with such a wonderful place to stay . The house was easy to find and in a great neighborhood. The first floor is decorated nicely and the furniture is very comfortable. The bedrooms upstairs are perfect. We appreciated the extra touches like the fans in the bedrooms, the magnetic knife board and the Neutrogena face wipes. The towels were lovely and fluffy. When we come to Portland again we will stay at Traveler’s Haven.

The property was correctly described on the listing. Everything we needed was provided. The house was super clean, new appliances. Everything in excellent working condition. The host is extremely attentive to detail and the only occasion in which I needed support he was super helpful and hospitable. Parking provided, easy access to the Highway and town. I strongly recommend this accommodations for anyone who wants to feel at home away from home. I will definitely stay here if I'm back on the West Coast. FYI I went to a Mariners game, Mount Rainier, Glacier Lake, Pike Market and Silver Falls State Park

My husband and 2 young adult children stayed in this house for the week we were in Portland. Quaint neighborhood - easy, central drive to the coast or Multnomah Falls. Close to Alberta Street a great art scene and food. Downtown Kenton is really cute and lots of good places to eat. The house was nicely appointed with everything you could need and extremely organized. We really enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend.

I enjoyed my stay very much. Although I was travelling by myself this trip, I would definitely bring my family to this house when I next needed a place to stay in the area. Very clean and spacious with three separate bedrooms (very nice and comfy mattresses!), an updated and well-set up kitchen, and a nice living room and backyard for relaxation. I did not have a car but found the neighborhood peaceful and easy to walk to local restaurants and coffee shops. The local park has a playground that always had families playing and baseball practice fields - lots of dogs having fun too! The hosts are very responsive and helpful and they have created a welcoming space for their guests. Full disclosure: the neighborhood is by train tracks so you can hear trains coming through, including their horns for crossings. I personally find train horns in the distance relaxing, so it didn't bother me at all.
