Set on a scenic 15-acre property surrounded by mature ash, cottonwood, and pine trees, Walking Deer Cabin is one of three private dwellings on the land, shared with the owners' homes and bordered by expansive ranches. Guests will enjoy stunning views of the South Fork Valley, Buffalo Bill Reservoir, and surrounding mountain ranges, along with frequent wildlife sightings. It's not uncommon to see eagles, sandhill cranes, hawks, owls, deer, antelope, and even the occasional coyote right from the property. Bighorn sheep and elk can also be spotted within a short drive.
This well-appointed cabin comfortably sleeps up to four guests and offers year-round comfort with central air conditioning and heat. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances (including a dishwasher), a dining area, and a cozy living space with a smart TV and high-speed Wi-Fi. Step outside to enjoy the fresh mountain air on the private deck with outdoor seating or fire up the propane BBQ for an evening cookout. The closer we got to the cabin the better the views got!! So glad we stayed here. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions to get the most out of our trip. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

We had an awesome experience at Walking Deer. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything you could possibly need was provided for you inside the cabin. The cabin was spotless and cozy. The grounds were well kept and landscaped beautifully. The mountainous terrain surrounding the area was breathtaking and there is more to do around the area than can be done in one week. We hope to return and stay for a longer period of time in the future. We loved the time we spent at this location.
