Great location & nice interiors. Excellent shops down 6th for coffee, dining and shopping within yards of property.

The house is comfortable and convenient to the action on sixth street. Its off street parking was easily accessible. There’s a great restaurant across the street called night cap. Highly recommend. The yoga studio, pure Texas yoga around the corner is also super convenient to walk to and a very well done studio if you’re into hot yoga. These businesses are restored residential properties. Old single family homes, turned into local businesses. They are a vibe for sure. Lots of local character on this part of town. Plus, the restaurants and retail of downtown are a 25 minute walk/10 minute uber away. Our host Kay was delightful. She welcomed my parents before I could arrive and was very accessible and responsive during our stay. She even fit one of us in for a last minute hair cut at her salon next door. A nice looking hair cut for the record. The whole experience made us feel very welcomed into the community in Austin. We wished we had the time to stay longer.

Kay was a great host - helpful, responsive, and kind - and she gave excellent Austin advice! The house was great. Better than advertised and exactly what we needed (I wish it was mine!). It was clean and comfortable, the design was well-appointed and very “Austin”, with plenty of towels and bedding, and large bottles of Aveda products everywhere. There are guitars, a turntable, and an excellent record collection to enjoy. Some of the kitchen equipment could be upgraded, but it’s a perfect location for a home base when you’re exploring the city and want the comforts of home. I’ll definitely be back! Shared advice: Don’t miss dinner and drinks at Nightcap across the street!
