A lovely, homely property, set in a beautiful area. The house accomodated us easily and is well equipped. We enjoyed lounging and eating in the garden and walking and exploring the area. We cycled to the local swimming lake, which is beautiful, and made the most of the local markets in nearby towns.

This property is amazing! Really spacious rural and rustic farmhouse. Spotlessly clean with good facilities. Lovely garden with multiple places to sit to follow/keep away from the sun. Really quiet and private. All bedrooms are large and airy - keep cool in the day despite the really hot August weather. Lovely local village within a 20 minute walk along lovely picturesque fields. Really rural and quiet. Nice lakes nearby as well as interesting villages - ideal for a quiet and authentic French experience. We ate out at Leigh's restaurant in a nearby location one night - lovely food and great to meet her and have a chat. The river at the end of the garden is a real bonus - great for teenagers, but a steep slope down there so not great for small children. Much better for teenagers than a pool!! The only thing I would say is that our flight arrived in the evening on a Saturday and by the time we had got to the house, all of the local shops were shut. We stopped at a supermarket en route, but had anticipated that there might be a pint of milk and a loaf of bread to tide us over, but there wasn't. Didn't make or break our absolutely lovely holiday in this property, but would have been nice and we would have been stuck if we hadn't stopped at the supermarket on the way. All in all, this was an absolutely perfect location for our holiday. Leigh was a responsive host and got in touch to make sure all was ok. Couldn't recommend either the property or Leigh enough.

Lovely old building with a nice wrap-around garden in a quiet and peaceful area. Could be easily improved with just a couple of little things - such as soap in the bathrooms, salt and pepper and cooking oil in the kitchen.
