Perched atop Politilly Hill, Casa Vista al Mar is a private 2-bedroom retreat with sweeping Caribbean Sea and jungle views. Enjoy a private pool, screened porches, beautiful tropical surroundings and cooling island breezes—all just a short drive from beaches, restaurants and East End adventures.
One of the things that makes this home special is its setting. With outdoor living spaces facing both east and west, you can enjoy sunrises in the morning and beautiful sunsets over Politilly Bight in the evening. Surrounded by tropical greenery and cooled by island breezes, the home feels wonderfully private while still providing convenient access to beaches, restaurants and both sides of the island.
Casa Vista al Mar is filled with character, including soaring vaulted ceilings, beautiful Honduran hardwood, stonework and warm tropical details throughout.
The home features two spacious bedrooms:
Primary Bedroom
King bed, ensuite bathroom and sliding glass doors opening onto the screened porch.
Second Bedroom
Queen bed, ensuite bathroom and direct access to the screened porch.
Additional Sleeping Space
The living room sofa can accommodate one additional adult or up to two children.
Both ensuite bathrooms feature large stone showers, custom woodwork and unique finishes.
The living room also has a sofa that can provide additional sleeping space for one adult or up to two children.
Ideal for 4 adults, with space for up to 2 additional children.
Kitchen & Living
The fully equipped kitchen features beautiful Honduran wood countertops, a gas stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher, with plenty of space for preparing meals at home.
The adjoining living area has vaulted wood ceilings and a 55-inch Smart TV for relaxing after a day exploring Roatán.
Air conditioning and ceiling fans are provided throughout the main living areas and bedrooms, and guests also have access to a full-size washer and dryer.
Outdoor Living
The outdoor spaces are one of the highlights of Casa Vista al Mar.
Start your morning with coffee or breakfast on the east-facing screened porch as the sun rises over the island. Later, relax in a hammock and enjoy the tropical surroundings and cooling breezes.
On the west side of the home, another screened porch provides a peaceful spot for evening drinks and sunset views over Politilly Bight.
The outdoor palapa and sun deck offer even more room to enjoy the setting and include:

Explore Roatán
Casa Vista al Mar's location makes it a great home base for exploring more of the island. A rental car is recommended, giving you the freedom to visit beaches, restaurants, diving and other attractions on both the east and west sides of Roatán.
Camp Bay Beach, Paya Bay and other East End destinations are within driving distance, while French Harbour is approximately 15–20 minutes away for groceries, shopping and other necessities.

We were greeted by the warm and inviting Miss Deysi/Daisy who was such a delight throughout our stay!Miss Deysi/Daisy was so welcoming and accommodating with our needs, requests, and navigating the island! We joyfully accepted many of her recommendations!With the lovely customer service of Miss Deysi/Daisy alone, I would cheerfully return to visit the island and lodging again!Upon arrival, we checked entry points to be certain they are properly secured and after multiple tries we concluded that the front patio sliding door does not lock.Despite this happening, we felt secure enough with the locked porch door and Mister Don Isidro monitoring the premises throughout the day/night.The bed linen needed a refresher as it was evident it had been some time since the previous guests.A warning for the animals on the roof at night may also have helped as I am a very light sleeper and they were lively!I was disappointed to not have the same view from the photos of the outdoor deck. The vegetation is quite overgrown in August to have the same view of the sea as the photos.It would also have been helpful if there was a light near the hot tub as we could not operate it at night for lack of being able to see.A potential estimate of the electric bill total at the conclusion of our 5-day stay would have helped our shock (over 200 USD).I share these details in hopes that when the next person visits, they are repaired/remedied.I do recommend this location to visitors!

Daisy was so friendly and helpful managing our 10 week stay. She was always just a text or phone call away at anytime we had a question. She went above and beyond .The home was beautiful with a sunset view over the ocean.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Roatan. Sherri and Deysi were extremely responsive ahead of the trip and during the trip. Deysi met us at the airport (on Christmas) to escort us to the property. They helped us locate a rental (at a time when online searches showed there were none available). I do recommend that you get a 4-wheel drive to best enjoy the location. They recommended restaurants, a boat owner/captain and a personal chef to cook for us for our anniversary.This property is as beautiful as the pictures show.We found the locals very friendly and the location great for a secluded, relaxing, perfect getaway!

If you love East End living, you'll love this home! My wife and I spent the majority of our time on the unparalleled deck.
The view overlooking the bay, the small plunge pool, outdoor shower, bar, and gas grill make the space so much fun!! This house privided the very peaceful respite we were searching for!!
