About this chalet rental
Represented by 'Mountain People Chalets'. We are delighted to offer Chalet Nyika, which is a lovely family home, providing a cosy, yet functional space. It is a great choice for friends and families, who wish to be near the centre of Samoens, while also enjoying an elevated position, above the village.
This lovely family home provides accommodation for 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms.
The Living / Dining area on the ground floor features an open fireplace, a flat screen television and access straight onto the terrace outside, with sweeping views over the valley. The dining area is best suited to 8 adults. Two baby high chairs can be provided.
There are four bedrooms, including 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms.
Parking: The driveway provided suitable parking for 2 cars. In Winter, in the even of heavy snow, you may find the drive to be slippery or need to park nearby.
Location
Chalet Nyika is conveniently located just above Samoens village and is just a few minutes drive to the high speed 'GME' lift connecting you to the Grand Massif ski domain in winter, which boasts some of the best skiing in the world. Suitable for all levels, there is over 275km of piste to explore and plenty of off-piste for more advanced skiers. In the summer, this area is a hub for adventure sports such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing and paragliding.
Distance to Ski Lift: 4.5km (10 mins drive) - no ski bus.
Distance to Village Tourist Office: 4.5km (10mins drive)

Reaching the chalet
Distance from Geneva Airport: Approximately 75km (1hr)
Distance from Paris (by road): Approximately 600km (6hrs+)
Distance from London (by road): Approximately 1,000km (12hrs+ including Eurotunnel)
By train: The nearest train station is the 'Gare de Cluses' (25 minutes drive away). However, you will need to organise transfers / rent your own car and snow chains as there is no public transport from the house.
Greeting Service: Our in-resort housekeeper / concierge, will be in touch with you in the weeks leading up to your arrival to assist with last-minute details and arrival plans. You will be met by one of the team who'll make sure you're shown around the chalet and who will be able to answer any questions you may have.
Vehicle Access
A car is essential at this chalet. However for larger groups, or those with a scattered arrival time, you may additionally opt for a transfer service directly from Geneva Airport, which will take you directly to the chalet. The chalet should be easily accessible by car all year round, however please remember that It is legal requirement in the French Alps to come equipped with snow chains that specifically fit you vehicle

Chalet Nyika is offered as a self-catered stay but we can put you in touch with the best local catering options for your stay.
Pet Policy: We will consider one small pet at an extra charge of €100 - please ask at the time of booking. We ask that all furry guests are kept out of bedrooms and prevented from climbing onto furniture. All dog litter should be removed from exterior spaces (garden, porch, patio and green spaces around the property). Strictly no puppies or large dogs. No Shedding breeds.

Security Deposit amount is €600 (or £600) - Payable by Bank Transfer before arrival.
Rental payments can be paid in 2 instalments - a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking, the 70% balance will be due 30 days before arrival.
