This beautifully furnished and renovated 2-bedroom, 2-bath, back-unit home is located on Balboa Island just 1 block from the beach and the Balboa Island Ferry. A rare find on the Island, it offers vaulted ceilings, air conditioning, inside laundry, an outdoor patio, carport parking. The home was completely remodeled in February of 2020 with all new Subzero / Wolf appliances. New three quarter inch white Oak floors, Cosentino Quartz kitchen and bathroom counters. Equipped with all the amenities a family or couple would want when enjoying a vacation in this charming island paradise.

The master suite offers a king bed, luxurious towels and sheets, a walk-in closet and flat-screen TV. The second bedroom has 2 full/double beds , high quality linens, a generous closet, dresser and its own flat-screen TV.

The living room has one large NEW LazyBoy sleeper sofa that sleeps two. The dining room seats 6, and a charming private patio is great for morning coffee, afternoon cocktails, or dinner, and includes a gas-fired grill.

There are so many great things to share about our stay at this home on Balboa Island. The hosts Pasqual and Kathy are the kindest people and greeted us with a warm welcome at the covered designated parking spot, which is such a plus on the island. They gave us a quick tour of the home. I wasn’t sure what to expect as this was our first VRBO experience. The home was exactly as pictured. It was very clean and neat and there were plenty of towels and storage space for our clothes and luggage. The rooms and beds were perfect for our family of 4. (2 kids ages 2 & 3) the fridge was nice and big and the kitchen stored all our things after a quick run to the grocery store. The hosts left a nice list of restaurants to try and we went to a handful of them, all great recommendations. You also can’t beat the patio situation at this home. There is lounge seating as well as a dining table. We didn’t take advantage of the grill and cook but definitely will next time. It was so nice enjoying a glass of wine outside while our kids played a few games (there are also games under the tv in the house which we loved). The location is also perfect. It’s across the street from a great little Mexican restaurant (try the jalapeño margarita) and it’s a quick walk to the ferry which is easy for getting to the beach. I highly recommend this house and we will DEFINITELY be back, no doubt about it. We already miss “our beach house.”

What a great property, Balboa Island is a great location, the area feels very safe and the property is excellent, well appointed and the bed is super comfy. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay on the area. Pasqual and Kathy are also two lovely hosts.

This property is newly remodeled and walkable to the cute main shopping street (Marine Ave), a delicious Mexican restaurant, bay beach (great for little kids), and a small playground/basketball court. It's also near the ferry which takes you to the Balboa Penninsula. I highly recommend staying here!

The unit was appointed well and close to the island ferry and Fun Zone. Easy walk to anywhere on the island. The host was very hospitable and helpful with easy check-in and out. Would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful from start to finish! Easy check in, host was very helpful and accommodating, clean and stocked with so many pluses. Beach chairs, beach towels, an outdoor beach shower, laundry in unit, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor eating/sitting area was lovely and the location is ideal - close to everything. We brought our 17 year old son and 3 friends here for spring break and it was so much fun! Thank you!!

The property was nice and a good location however, we had an odd interaction with the host during the stay that others should be aware of. Our check in time was 4PM. We contacted the host 24 hours out for entry instructions, as we were driving from out of state, at that time he would not provide them to us and told us to call him as we got closer to the property to meet him for the keys. We arrived about an hour before check in and were told we were too early, which we understand so we let him know we would go run an errand. We went for lunch and some shopping and he called to let us know he was headed to dinner and we could not check in until after he was back around 6:30 PM. We let him know this was not acceptable and then he hung up the phone with us. He then texted a little while later stating he would leave the door open with the keys inside. Once we entered the property and got settled, the host and his wife let themselves into the property unannounced. We were shocked to see him in the house without knocking or announcing himself and had NEVER experienced anything like this before. It was very alarming and in the moment didn't want to create a scene and make the situation worse, but it made us uneasy the remainder of the trip. If I would have been alone or with all women, I may have left the property, but had my husband staying with us and my uncle staying across the street. The host lives on the property, which is why we chose not to call VRBO in the moment.

My husband and I spent the month of January at this beautiful Balboa Island property and could not have been happier with our experience! The home is decorated beautifully and is fully equipped with anything you need to feel at home and comfortable. We especially enjoyed using the outdoor patio area and grill. Had a great week staying with my girlfriend & Mixed Doubles partner at Pasqual’s Balboa Island VRBO while playing in a Pickleball Tournament in Newport Beach. Comfortable, tastefully decorated place with well-stocked kitchen & beach chairs, umbrellas etc. Enjoyed walking to restaurants & to watch sunsets. Took Ferry to Balboa Peninsula which is just 1 block away!

This home was a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, charming and within walking distance to shopping, dining and other activities. The master bedroom has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a VRBO. The owner was very accommodating answering my questions, which were few, promptly and kindly. There is also a beautiful courtyard for the enjoyment of their guests with a barbecue, table and chairs and evening lighting. The kitchen is a dream kitchen with all you need to cook with except the ingredients! I would never hesitate to stay in this beautiful home again.

We spent three nights with our adult kids and absolutely loved everything about this place. The location is perfect, close to the ferry and an easy walk to shops and restaurants on Marine St. The home was clean and very well equipped. We didn’t cook but the kitchen is beautiful and it would have been fun to cook there. The beds were very comfortable. We had two vehicles and parking wasn’t a problem at all. If we need another property in the area we’ll be back!

When we arrived and checked in, the property was immaculate and had high end appliances including a Wolf range and subzero refrigerator. The beds were comfortable. There was also off street parking and if you are familiar with Balboa Island, you know parking can be a nightmare. My only concern were the stairs, that were difficult to negotiate with luggage( especially after I had torn my MCL in my left knee a few weeks earlier. But the Host was there and helped me with my luggage and offered to help me with my luggage when we left.

My family stayed here and we loved it. The rental was extremely clean as advertised. All the beds were very comfortable including the pull out sofa. The kitchen contained every amenity and you can tell the owner takes great care to deliver what is advertised. We did not use the patio area due to it being cooler, however I can imagine this property being lovely in the summer as well

This house is so cute! I loved the layout with both bedrooms having a bathroom and the rooms being across the hall from one another. The kitchen, dining, and living rooms all had good space and flow. The house was clean and well taken care of. The parking in the carport was great. We loved the location too! We walked to the ferry to get to the beach. We were also able to walk to restaurants for dinner and shopping. We will absolutely stay here again! Pasqual was friendly and accommodating. Hightly recommend.

Really nice upstairs property, exactly as per the description and photographs. Well fitted out kitchen with it’s own washer/dryer Air con was a real plus, made cooling the apartment easy. Shady off street parking kept our car nice and cool when it was hot outside. Welcomed and shown around the property, so we understood straight away how every thing worked. Loved the 12 o’clock checkout time, beats the mad rush for the for the 10 o’clock you seem to find everywhere else. Would happily stay again when we are next in the area.

We absolutely loved this property! It was so tastefully decorated and was very comfortable. It was perfect location for our young family, getting the Balboa Island ferry was lovely, and our 2 year old loved it. Kathy and Pasqual were very helpful when we arrived providing a walk-through of the property to explain how everything worked, very friendly and approachable! We would definitely stay here again if ever looking for accommodation in the area.

We did a family vacation and could not have asked for a better place. Pasqual and Kathy were amazing hosts! The home was perfect, very very clean and updated and plenty of room for our family of 4. The location is great, with the car ferry just a block or so down from the place and plenty of space to park our rental car. We also rented a golf cart which is just a block away from the house and it was a great decision, getting around on the island and peninsula was so much easier with the golf cart. Also the Mexican restaurant across the street was really good. I wanted to again say that our hosts were the best and extremely helpful with ideas of places to go and things to do. We will be back!
