Trekker Glamping - EcoLodge Boutique

The domes and views are amazing! Our dome had its own terrace and hammock too, and a gorgeous viewing spot from inside (great for when all the bugs come out)… We still had quite a few that got in, I guess given the location, it’s inevitable. This was an incredible experience of a stay, and we’d recommend this place. However, like other reviews mentioned, the service could use a lot of improvement. I had asked for different options to get to Trekker Glamping from Minca, and only got replies of the transport they arrange, which costs 70k each way, each time… We hiked up the first time, which took 25 mins - worth it to end up with the sunset view we got when we reached. There are also moto taxis you can take, which cost 15k each - we found this out all on our own while in Minca, when they could easily have shared it with us beforehand. Another disappointment was before our arrival, the road to Minca had been blocked for 2 days due to political reasons - I had asked them if the roads don’t open up, what’s the refund policy in situations like this, and they replied with only the cancellation policy saying we couldn’t get a refund. I told them we didn’t want to “cancel”, but what can we do if the roads don’t open up? They replied with, “Let’s hope this situation ends so you can enjoy your booking”. Fortunately, the road did open on the day of our booking, and we could go - and I see a refund policy at their reception stating, “in unforeseen events of natural disasters, climate changes, TRANSPORT MISHAPS, the host will be responsible for 90% of the money”. It’s real disappointing that they didn’t share this, and wouldn’t own up to it if the roads were still blocked. The last disappointment was the free sunrise meditation - we had reserved our spots for our last morning, woke up early to make it for 6am, and no one was there. A cleaning staff eventually found someone who told us that the guide would be with us in 10 mins… After half an hour of waiting, the morning reception comes in, surprised that we’re just waiting, and finds out that the guide was sick that morning and couldn’t make it. All this is a highly unprofessional way of dealing with situations. Simply communicate different ways to get to you, your actual refund policies (and abide by them), and that there is no meditation that particular morning. We could’ve gone for a hike or whatever instead of waiting in a “closed” venue for nothing. Like I said - Overall, amazing place, but service needs improvement.
