Holiday Home Nada

The hosts met is at the appartment quite late in the evening due to delayed ferry. They were very accomodating and welcoming. They explained everything well. The area is so quiet and peaceful away from the towns. Would highly recommend this place to stay,

Just a warning - there is no aircon! But the fans provided were completely sufficient.

First of all, the location is perfect. On the edge of the National Park amongst the olive groves. You have a short hilly stroll to your own waterfront in a cove. The silence was so wonderful you could almost hear it. We've stayed in some peaceful places but this took the idea of quiet to new heights. We've never felt so relaxed. It's about a 35 minute walk into Sali (the nearby village/town/port). A lovely place in itself. Plenty of places to eat. There's also a supermarket. The facilities at the accommodation are comfortable (shower with hot water, kettle for hob, a hob, fridge, wi-fi, ample space and cupboards, a fan, and a lovely place to sit outside in shade or sun). The owners are lovely. We enjoyed their olive oil and baked snacks. So sweet of them. Did we want to leave? No. Would we readily go back? Absolutely.

We liked it all. Perfect for us. We like to hike and kayak as well as relax. And we're fine with the heat/warmth. But here's what others might want to know. The place is solar powered. This is great for the facilities at the accommodation, and for charging your own rechargeable items (our phones, torches, portable DVD player, electric toothbrush etc). But for those who desire air conditioning, hairdryers, washing machine (we hand washed) etc, this might not be for you. That's the trade off for such a fabulous place and location. The first time you go, the location might be a tad difficult to find. Dugi Otok is a relaxed island and many of the roads/lanes are quiet, unmarked, and unsigned. Sat-nav/google is a must. But once found the rest of your trip will be fine.

Great hosts, cute house, nice beach!

Die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit. Natürlich die Bucht bzw der zum Haus dazugehörige Privatstrand. Dort kann man bei glasklarem, türkisen Wasser dem Massentourismus wirklich entgehen und einfach entspannen. Die Nähe zu Sali, somit zu Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (5 min mit dem PKW) Die Aussicht von der Terrasse hin zum Meer. Das Haus ist grundsätzlich schlicht gehalten (Strom ausschließlich aus Solarenergie und Wasser aus den Tanks) was uns aber gar nicht gestört hat. Wir hatten alles, was wir brauchten.

Kleiner Abzug da nicht klimatisiert und somit nachts sehr warm.
