About this house rental
Stay in the heart of New Center Detroit, just steps away from the historic Motown Museum! Experience being a part of musical history surrounded by musical memorabilia in this meticulously restored 1911 home with many modern amenities for your comfort. This 5000+ sq foot duplex is being offered as an entire home to accommodate larger groups (up to 16) families, company retreats and corporate outings with a finished basement, a large second floor balcony and gated backyard outdoor space.
This fully restored 1911 home has retained much of its original wood workings and resurfaced wood floors. Uniquely decorated to share the passion of the owner's love of Motown music , each room is decorated with special photos, art and memorabilia. We want to encourage visitors to the city of Detroit to experience the fun and energy that Motown music brought to the world and each floor has a working 1963 Wurlitzer Juke box filled with various Detroit artists. We are focused on providing groups an amazing experience, one to share with future visitors and friends but no parties.
Guests will have all access to the entire house with the exception of the mechanical/furnace room in the basement.Other things to note: This property is professionally maintained and managed; it is also monitored by ADT Security. The security system includes external cameras, fire, glass breakage, sump pump, controlled heating and cooling systems and police and fire notification via a user friendly key fab and alarm panels located at each entrance. Keyless check in details given prior to check in. No parties. No Pets. No Smoking. No Video or photo recording permitted without written approval

This property was everything we had hoped for, and more. The attention to detail was phenomenal, extremely clean, kitchen was well stocked, and the host communicated in a timely manner. The next time we are in Detroit, we will definitely return to this place.

Overall excellent experience at the MotownBNB. Arrived in mid-summer to find the spot well kept, very comfortable and cool with the AC, and calm and quiet with the Motown music playing on the TV downstairs.Had all the equipment and utensils available to facilitate a great trip. Had 14 guys get together from around the country and we all slept comfortably. Two drove in and had air mattresses and let everybody else have full beds along with the pull-out couch. Downstairs is a fun and cool environment, although the ceilings are a bit short. Thankfully the owners have the ceiling corners covered in foam so any guys that bonked their head only hit the foam. Area is okay, 4/5. Witnessed some dramatic individuals across the street at the liquor store, but all of us never felt unsafe at any point in our trip. Close proximity to excellent pizza and quick uber rides into the city for some fun times.Very appreciative of the enclosed parking behind the house and we were able to fit four cars, including a big Ford Expedition.Great communications with Dave, who reached out the night before to give all the information needed. He remained in good communications throughout the trip, and even let us know the cleaners were going to be late on our checkout day so we had a nice relaxing morning getting the place cleaned up before we headed out.Overall, highly recommend if you have a big party coming to town to stay at the Motown BNB.

As a family, we decided to ring in the new year, Motown style at the Motown BnB! As we all know, the year 2020, dealing with the pandemic, was very challenging for all of us, including my family. Our two-day stay at the BnB was just as I envisioned and turned out wonderfully. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out while still enjoying each other’s company. The 3/three floors plus basement was more than enough space to socially distance when we wanted. For cooking, we appreciated the two full kitchens. And, I thought that the third floor with the kitchenette, loft bed, adjacent bedroom along with couches, TV plus personal bathroom worked out well for our teenagers to play XBox and have their fun. They loved it! Finally, the Motown memorabilia throughout the house and attention to detail from that musical time was excellent.Ringing in 2021 at The Motown BnB created so many awesome memories for my family. So glad we decided to stay here!
