About this house rental
This is a newly furnished, smoke and pet-free, modern Farmhouse with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, situated on 22 idyllic acres complemented by privacy and nature. Comfortably sleeps 16 people, located only 60 mins from NYC and the Poconos Mountains. The home is conveniently located just 15 minutes off I-80 (exit 19) near Bear Brook Valley in Fredon Township, NJ. Surrounded by nature and filled with on-site amenities: full-size tennis court with basketball hoop, private pool, gym room, ping pong table, huge entertainment deck, high speed WIFI, outdoor kitchen, fire-pit, linens, towels and daily calls from a variety of local birds.
The surrounding State and local parks, groceries, nearby dining, working farms, apple picking, pumpkin patches, hiking, make it a year-round destination vacation property.
Enjoy this property all year round with each season having its own special attraction.

Summer Attractions: Delaware Water Gap, Bushkill Falls, Camelback Water Park, Crystals Springs Resort, Bear Brook Valley, High Point State Park, Swartswood State Park, Lake Hopatcong, horseback riding, and hiking trails available throughout the area, or perhaps you would enjoy walking the grounds that continue into the woods.
Winter Attractions: Shawnee Mountain Ski area, Camelback ski area.
Shopping Attractions: Outlet stores, malls, all big box shops, groceries and boutique shops located 12 mins away.
The house is fully furnished with brand new modern furniture, new memory foam mattresses, central air conditioning, new washer and dryer, sub-zero fridge and other Viking appliances.
The first level has a large living room with a 65” TV, Wi-Fi with internet TV capability, a half bathroom, a formal large dining room, a modern newly stocked cooks kitchen and an open concept great room with additional eating and sitting area, a 55” TV and direct access to the deck and pool.
The second level has a generous master suite, full bath and sitting area, two additional over sized bedrooms with pull out sofas and a full bath. A Wi-Fi enabled printer and desk is available for the perfect home office setting.
The lower level has a game room, a ping pong table, a fully equipped home gym, two bedrooms with a shared bathroom.
The outside has a large entertainment focused deck with an outside kitchen, a Viking bbq grill and a pool. The wrap around covered porches and patio provides a great space to sit outside and hear the bird calls. The barn on the premises includes family friendly goats and chickens that you are welcome to interact with. The adjacent wildlife management area invites frequent deer, wild turkey, birds of prey and the occasional bear sighting in and around the property.
*** Note about the animals: The animals are totally separated from the house (so no animal odors), and while you are welcome to interact with them, they will not interfere your stay. They are taken cared for by a caretaker who will not access the house or the surroundings.

Had a great time at the house! The tennis court, pool, and house were all in great condition and as pictured. We used the tennis court a lot which was in good shape. The house is spacious and we had no problem fitting 12 people. No one had to sleep on the sofa beds which didn't feel as comfortable when sitting on them. Communication with the host was great as well. Thanks and hope to be back!

Overall, our stay was beautiful and the home was well-suited to our group size. The pool and house were very clean, the layout was open and inviting, the kitchen was spacious, and we enjoyed using the fire pit on several evenings.A few areas could be improved: the check-in instructions were sent later than expected, the basement had a persistent odor due to limited airflow, and the outdoor hammock advertised was not available, which was disappointing.That said, we still had a wonderful time and appreciated the accommodations!

Our favorite part about the place was the tennis court! It was really nice, seemingly brand new! There was also a basketball hoop which we enjoyed playing on too!
The animals outside are fun to visit. Beware of the dogs barking if you arrive after dark. They are fenced in but it’s hard to know that if you’re arriving at night because it’s completely dark there! That caused us some distress not knowing where the barking dogs were when we arrived.
There was a nice swing set for the kids as well as toys inside for kids to play with.
The main level of the house was nice and the upstairs bedrooms were nice. Both of the upstairs futons were broken though. I would say the upstairs sleeps 8 (if 4 people share the master bedroom, two on a trundle).
The house has two big TVs but they can only be used for streaming (and only if you get good enough if a signal). There is no antenna or cable.
I would say that the place is more accurately a 3 bedroom house. The fourth bedroom is in the basement where it was very musty and the bedroom had multiple spiders within view. There were other really big insects in the basement area which made it hard to relax down there. Also the ping pong room lights wouldn’t turn on.
The location is right next to Bear Brook Valley which is super convenient if you’re in town for an event there. Besides that it would definitely be in the getaway category because there is nothing else of note nearby. It was 45 minutes to Morristown and very expensive to Uber there (and nearly impossible to get an Uber). There were some other restaurants and businesses 15 minutes away.
