This is a must see and stay in when visiting Vezelay

Handy for all the places we wished to visit.

Had everything we needed in a compact space. Very convenient position at the top of the town shops and restaurants within easy reach. Reasonably convenient parking.

The final straw - insufficient toilet paper

Vézelay is a beautiful town. The apartment had a washing machine.

We received the code to enter the apartment too late for us to access it. We phoned the number on the door six times but there was no answer. We got cold and colder as the night and the wind set in. When we finally had access, the whole studio was full of junk, cleaning equipment and other paraphernalia. We were unable to find a spot to put our few clothes. The owner suggested I use the cupboard ( it was full) and the sofa ( why have a sofa if it has to be used as a wardrobe?). The manager suggested I use the bathroom cupboard but there wasn’t one in the bathroom and the bathroom cabinet was full of stuff, including bath cubes (there was no bath). The ‘ Good Studio’ was not good! A studio implies a small space, which means the space must be used wisely. There was indeed a loft where the junk could have been stored, but the owner/ manager preferred to use valuable space inside the studio. The studio was really, really disappointing. The final straw - insufficient toilet paper!

loved everything about it

the peaceful romantic setting ...felt like vezelay was ours alone..beautiful walking to the church and paths ..just around the corner from the best tabac .. croissants and delicious cafe latte...highly recommend for couples ..we loved it !!

little tricky to find ...but worth the adventure ....parking below the property which is on a hill ..not for the faint of heart ..stairs to get to the property...which were part of the charm of staying here..highly recommend

Location was very close to the cathedral.

Construction work in the street with noise from 7am in the morning. Property difficult to reach because of construction works! Quality of matress. Lack of terrace or outside view.

Well equipped. Well located. Quiet. Plenty of towels. Good shower.

Hardly any toilet paper on roll on arrival and no spare roll provided. Maybe an oversight? Duvet way too warm / heavyweight for summer.. Needs top sheet and lightweight bedspread only. Difficult to work out where to park on arrival. Suggest set satnav for Champs de Foire and look for a space opposite end from Hotel Lion d’Or, near Porte Neuve. Do not attempt to drive into the village itself ( residents only and permit required…) Would have helped to have info re coffee capsules so as to buy more. But small niggles. Good stay overall.

A very quiet and insprirational place

A tiny house, just one room, but everything you may need was there. Right in the heart of Vezelay, so close to the Basilique, you are able to drop in several times a day to enjoy all services. And you have your own place to park the car, if you are a skilled enough driver to pass the narrow entrance of the street without a scratch.

Casa piccola e accogliente, situata in un'ottima posizione.

Posizione ottima, casa molto pulita e accogliente. Parcheggio (a pagamento) vicino, raggiungibile a piedi con facilità.

Letto molto piccolo. La porta di casa si chiude in maniera inusuale e le istruzioni sono scritte in un punto pochissimo visibile.

Ideale locatie, niet ver van de basiliek. Goed voor kort verblijf. Bijna alles is aanwezig, wij gebruikten onze eigen koffieperculator, hadden geen cups bij.

Il s agit d un détail de commodité indépendant au Studio, de sensibilité de goût de chacun-e et de tolérance au produit. L eau ayant vraiment un goût de javel dans le village et donc au Studio , je n ai rien pu boire jusqu au lendemain. Étant arrivés en fin de journée, nous ne pouvions plus aller acheter de bouteilles d eau minérale. Je laisse donc juste une suggestion : sans doute serait il très apprécié qu au moins une bouteille d eau soit à disposition au Studio laissant ainsi du temps pour s' organiser (courses).
