Absolute Waterfront Anna Bay

The location overlooking the oceanfront was absolutely stunning. The balcony was perfect for enjoying meals, and using binoculars to spot wildlife - we saw two types of huge cormorants, an eagle, and watched two whales splashing and jumping for 30 minutes! Absolutely perfect, and we will definitely come back and stay here again. The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining room had beautiful big windows to enjoy all the views, especially great if the weather is windy or cold. The wooden dining table was lovely and big, perfect to eat at one end and do jigsaw puzzles at the other end. There was a spare lounge room (with a second TV) at the back half of the apartment, perfect for kids to hang out in, while adults sit in the main area. I loved having the luxury of having two spaces. The kitchen had a good sized pantry with lots of appliances - we only used the toaster, but there was a coffee maker, sandwich toaster, kettle and a number of other items. There were also trays with sugar, salt, oil and various other condiments, to get you started before going out to shop. The drawers had lots of cutlery, utensils (especially lots of tongs!), sharp knives etc, so apart from needing some silicone egg rings, everything else was there that you could possibly want. There were some bonuses that we hadn't realised before booking - an outside shower to rinse sand off before coming into an extra shower in the laundry to have a more proper rinse off before entering the main part of the house. Another bonus we also didn't realise until checking-in that we could make use of the garage, which was great to house our car in so it wouldn't be affected by seaspray the whole time we were there. We then could unpack our car through the internal door to the apartment, rather than in the dark when we first arrived.

This property is managed by a real estate, and there were a few more emails before arriving than with usual Booking.com rentals, including needing to provide our credit card details for a security bond. However, on arrival, there were some internet issues, and the real estate went above and beyond to sort this out, and were very accomodating to us, that I would gladly book with them again, as the service they provided was second to none. Lots of towels were provided, but no facewasher. I just used the corner of a spare towel, but a couple of facewashers would be an easy addition.
