Stable Cottage, CrannachCottages is situated in a secluded, peaceful location within its own 4 acre private woodland just outside the picturesque village of Garve on the North 500 Route. An ideal spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life with beautiful walks and cycling routes right on the doorstep. The Cottage was once used as the horse stables that served the local estate. It has been tastefully renovated to ensure that guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay.

This is a lovely and memorable stay, with very thoughtful set up— very comfortable beds, nice towels, fun decor, with history and travel books on the region and games. The layout was challenging for younger children— a big staircase runs the middle and splits at the top. One side has the bathroom. The other side has two bedrooms so in the night the kids needed to navigate those stairs to the toilet. Heavy doors close off the living room and kitchen areas, but behind those doors are delightful rooms. We’d stay again, especially with older kids. Quiet location, lovely hosts next door, helpful— great base to explore more remote parts of the highlands. We didn’t see any tour buses or large groups. That was really wonderful! Recommend!
