Remote, next to the best restaurant in Açores (Tasca do Costa). The check in host was nice. Laundry onsite was a plus.

The heating was insufficient for all rooms, driveway can be challenging unless you’re comfortable navigating tight spaces.

The host Hugo (who is not the owner) was always only a message away. Very responsible, polite and reliable communication! The house it self is really situated at a great spot of the island, in a very quiet and peaceful landscape. Electronic heating in almost every room, incl. both bathrooms, plus the wood fired oven at the cosy living room are a great benefit. The kitchen provides lots of useful things in a charming atmosphere. A comfortable large bed in the lower bedroom is the perfect place to rest well and wake up to the stunning view through the panorama window, overlooking the nice garden and farmland facing the ocean. Great views are guaranteed from all rooms actually. Water-pressure and -temperature were both very good. Pillows, blankets and towels were available plenty and in good quality. Cleanliness in general was good, here and there a bit improvable as on some dishes and surfaces. During a few days of heavy rainstorm in November it turned out that some parts of the house need renovation, as water was running into it. The Host Hugo was again taking all necessary action to find a solution immediately. Over all - I loved the house, the location and was more than satisfied with the host. I will return with pleasure.
