Clean & comfortable stay in simple accommodation that was conveniently located to eating, shopping & exploring. There is a coffee shop next door and recommended local restaurant across the road that is well priced and looks out to a rice field. Lovely staff, quiet and easy to access. We didn’t have time to lie beside the pool but it looked lovely.

Untrustworthy management, misleading photos, and poor room conditions—definitely not worth the stay.

The location of Villa Chandra in Seminyak is quite convenient, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The caretaker was polite and did their best to communicate using Google Translate since they didn’t speak English. Their effort was appreciated.

We were very disappointed with the room we were given—it was completely different from the one shown on Booking.com. When I pointed it out, the caretaker first claimed all rooms were booked. Later, they admitted they were instructed by the owner to say that, even though the villa was mostly empty. They showed us other rooms to convince us to stay, but none matched the booking photos. When we contacted the owner, she didn’t apologise and simply said we didn’t have to stay if we weren’t happy—though politely. Since the cancellation window had passed, I was worried they might charge us anyway, so we reluctantly stayed. The toilet was in terrible condition—no tissue, soap, or shower gel—and the room was full of mosquitoes. We had to call the manager late at night to fix it. He also insisted on cash payment, which I refused. He then said card payments would incur a 2% fee. I still chose Apple Pay, as I no longer trusted them. Overall, a very bad experience—never faced anything like this in Bali. Be cautious and avoid this place.

Don’t believe by seeing the pictures, in reality it’s the old building with old furniture, walls. Washrooms are dirty and the rooms are old. Only good part is the pool except that our experience was quite disappointing!! This is almost a scam by posting good pictures and in reality you go into a dirty looking room! Staff was okay

The staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. Could see they were sprucing up the space post reopening after covid so can't complain about that. Room was clean and comfy

nice pool but needs somewhere to sit around it, need to provide drinking water in rooms, on the day I arrived there was no one at reception to meet me - I was dying of thirst - hadn’t drunk anything for 12 hrs - eventually found someone and had to pay to buy a beer as there was no water available

Best value for big room in private villa compound

Location and excellent value for a big room in a villa with kitchen. Very cute pool and green scenery.

The whole place appeared to be a higher level accommodation years ago, and it has been decaying ever since. The current staff works hard but they don't seem to have much experience in the hospitality industry. But for the price complaining too much would be petty. Kitchen had very few utensils.
