We had a lovely time staying here in Feb 2026 – the inn has a warm and cozy vibe that feels super homey. The location is perfect, right opposite Goryu Escal Plaza, making it super easy to access the slopes.
Our host, Nico, was great – very knowledgeable about the area and went above and beyond. He even drove us to the supermarket to stock up on groceries.
The lodge has four rooms and a well-equipped communal kitchen (everything you need to cook: induction cooker, utensils, big fridge, and basics). We loved cooking our own meals – it was so convenient, especially since restaurants in Goryu are so limited, with long waits and few good-value options.
Our room (with mountain view) was spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds, a private bathroom, mini fridge, kettle, and a separate tatami room. It stayed toasty with two heaters, and the tatami area was a cute spot to chill and eat breakfast. Plus, the large wardrobe was super helpful for storing all our ski gear.
Towards the end of our stay, there was some noise from the snow grooming machines at night, but Nico did everything possible to solve it – a real testament to how much he cares and what a great host he is.
One note: there's a single washer-dryer, so if the inn is full, plan your laundry accordingly.
We'd recommend this place for families with kids, especially so close to Escal Plaza, or for couples wanting early nights and prioritizing lots of slope time. Highly recommend it – can't wait to return. Thanks, Nico! 😊
