Great location and was walking distance to the entrance of the nearby beach on Russian River. It was a quiet, peaceful setting surrounded by beautiful redwoods. No issues with the neighbors. I was constantly notified as we approach the check-in date. Door code and wifi passwords were texted in a timely manner. One important note, take a screen shot of the door code and wifi info because I couldn't get cell service there.

Wifi kept dropping in the master bedroom.

The house had everything we needed for our stay - we only wish the weather had been warmer so we could have taken full advantage of the outside seating areas and private beach. Beds and linens were very comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked if you plan to cook (bring your own coffee), hot shower and plenty of room in the bathroom. Nice to have the Roku TV. We love the central location of Monte Rio village for cycling and access to the coast and the river. We would stay here again.

As we arrived and were getting things shuttled from the car to the house with our dogs in the property's fenced-in yard, the neighbor next door let us know (very upset, very strong language) that our dog was in her yard. Our two small dogs are within the size limit the house requires, and we learned the hard way that there are several places in the fence where small dogs can get through to the neighbors' yards on both sides. If the weather had been nicer and we wanted to enjoy the outside patios with our dogs outside, we would have had to leash them. The only other comment is the strong musty and smoky smell when we first got there. We were able to air the house out to where it didn't bother us once we were inside, but all of our clothes needed to be washed when we got home because of the smell.
