This gorgeous mountain retreat has six bedrooms for up to 14 guests, making it perfect for a special reunion, a birthday weekend with your crew, or a vacation with your entire family.
With incredible seasonal mountain views and named after a children's book that's a favorite of the owner's kids, this cabin in the Blairsville woods is your own private, secluded hideaway but close to activities like hiking, horseback riding, fishing and boating at Cozy Cove Marina. There's even an ATV trail at nearby Davenport Ridge. The shops and restaurants of downtown Blue Ridge are just 12 miles away.
Inside, Just Like Heaven is warm, airy, and bright, with décor that's a professionally decorated mix of modern and traditional furnishings, colors and touches. The solid pine interior, vaulted ceilings and spacious open living area provide a welcoming setting for gathering before the wood-burning fireplace. Upstairs in the media room, you'll find board games, a karaoke machine, foosball, an 85” flatscreen TV and DVD, and there's another 75” Smart TV TV in the loft.
There's even more fun to be had outside, where you can play corn hole, basketball, ping-pong or fire up the gas grill for an al fresco meal. There's plenty of comfortable seating on the covered deck, where there's a wood burning fireplace to keep you cozy on crisp evenings while you enjoy the mountain air. Grab a glass of wine and relax in the hot tub.
The kitchen, with its granite countertops, stainless appliances, oversized fridge and freezer, custom wood cabinets, icemaker, drip coffeemaker, and crockpot, has everything you need to prepare food for a crowd. The island breakfast bar seats five, and the dining table is large enough for 12 hungry people to eat together.
Each of the six bedrooms is beautifully decorated, with comfortable bedding to ensure a restful night. The upstairs master, with its vaulted ceiling, balcony and private bathroom with walk-in shower, has a four-poster king bed; there are queen beds in three of the other bedrooms. The two remaining bedrooms have four twin beds each on a trundle system, which make them especially ideal--and fun--for kids. You can do as the owners do and designate one for the boys and one for the girls.
Other amenities include a washer/dryer, wireless Internet, and driveway parking. But the best attribute of Just Like Heaven is the feeling it gives you while you're there and the experience you'll take home with you. The name says it all!

Inside of the house was awesome, everyone loved it. The outside, well it may have been a while since someone else occuppied the property. Spider webs on all the balcony/patio areas. The driveway was covered with leaves and acorns.Had to make a quick run to get propane for the grill. One tank was empty, the other lasted about 15 minutes. A power outage affected the area. After the power kicked back on, we soon lost water pressure. We finally got someone out to check it out. Evidently the filter was clogged. In my "opinion", it appears like the filter wasn't cleaned in a while.We had enough firewood for one night. I notified EBR and was told some wood will be deliveried. We left at 3pm for a wedding, advised EBR we haven't received any wood. The advised that wood will be delivered. We returned around 9pm, no wood. I'm not sure if I need to buy more wood on my own. If so, I wish customer service would have said something, instead of promising a delivery. Despite the setbacks, I believe everyone enjoyed the accomdations. The wide open kitchen, dining and living room made it great for the family.

The property was great for our large group. The house was clean & had everything we needed with one exception. For a rental that sleeps 16 people, the water supply & water pressure was VERY lacking! In the basement bathroom, we had less of an issue, however the second & third floor showers would completely run out if water mid-shower! This was very inconvenient having 16 people who wanted to shower after being on the lake all day.
We enjoyed the back covered porch & found that to be where we congregated as a group, however the neighbor was not happy about us being there. We did play music...not blaring but when the neighbor made a comment to one of us when we went to our car to get something we decided we better just cut our evening short & go to bed. From the notes & instructions about the cabin it’s obvious there has been issues with the neighbor in the past. Overall a good weekend & enjoyable stay.

The layout of this home is really good.
The location was good and pretty easy to get to find.
The driveway has a very step incline.
We had 3 Full size SUVs & 1 4x4 pickup.
All of them made it up easily, not sure if someone had a car how it would do, but I feel like you would easily make it up as well.
Just FYI so if you have a truck or SUV you might want to take those as opposed to a car.
The biggest issue we had with the home was it was not clean as expected and had a few cosmetic damages, both of these issues can be easily fixed and improved.
The cleaning issues were a lot of spider webs, dirt under couches & in corners, as well as a few other small cleaning issues.
The cosmetic damages were:
1. hole in the wall in the downstairs bathroom beside toilet paper holder and the shower handle cover plate was loose.
2. there were several door knobs that were loose and about to fall off. We had to fix one ourselves before it fell completely off (bathroom door on the main floor).
3. in the big playroom with the GIANT TV (which was great), there was a place in the corner that did not have carpet on it.
We did have 3 issues that required Maintenance to come out and fix.
Which they did a REALLY good job with and responded in a reasonable amount of time.
1. A/C issue (FIXED)
2. Bathroom sink drain plug broken (FIXED)
3. Hornets nest on the main floor (FIXED).
We did not think there were any hornets in the nest but when the maintenance guy came out he sprayed and killed the hornets and destroyed the nest.
